The hotel under going renovation; it would have been nice to know that beforehand. The carpet is being replaced and other stuff is being fixed. Our room had an odd smell, like musty old shoes. The smell was better once you turned on the air, but it was still there. The biggest issue was the dirty carpet, which may be fixed as they add new carpet, but there is no hair dryer in the room. We asked twice, and the front desk said they would have housekeeping get us one, but two days later, still no hair dryer. The other concern was no side table for the other side of the bed. Even a small attached to wall one would be great. Have to say the bathroom was very clean. But the lights kept timing out, which was annoying. The breakfast staff women was kind, friendly and helpful.

Clean with very comfortable beds. Only negative was some noise from other guests, but that is not the fault of the property. A nice place to stay.

Great beds, the room doors were not safe both the connecting room and hallway room were not locking. The hallway door allowed a man to just push it open until he realized he was in the wrong room. Friendly people and the room was clean. No ironing board or iron.

I didn't like the key cards and the erroneous programming. We had to get ours reprogrammed twice during our stay.

Upon checking into our room we found that the toilet was broken and that we had dirty bedsheets (looked as if there was residue from someone eating Cheetos and fruit punch stains on the bed along with crumbs all around the bed). When we called the front desk to report the condition of the room they offered to move us in more a questioning type manner like I was crazy for asking to be moved. We stayed 5 nights and housekeeping didn't clean the room once. The pool was cloudy and the lights were never on inside. My husband was told they use the natural light during the day. The staff didn't seem like they wanted to be bothered to help. The breakfast was good. A nice mix of hot and cold items. I'm disappointed because we have stayed at mutliple Holiday Inn Express locations and have always had a good experience. I guess you can't expect it at every location.

The rooms were nice and clean but smelled strong with cleaning solution and had windows open on our arrival so the rooms were freezing at first. I guess they were trying to air out the smell but they continued to smell. I would suggest to use a different cleaner, something not so strong with a nicer scent. Overall the hotel was nice.
