Nice lobby, simple room but met our needs. Restaurant and bar were outstanding. Kudos to Scott, our bar tender. He mixed drinks like an artist and gave us fabulous recommendations on menu selections. We will definitely stay at Flat Creek again and highly recommended the restaurant!

The hotel staff was nice. The room was dirty. The hotel was noisy where we were located. The hotel was more expensive for what you got. TV was not easy to navigate. Food for breakfast was not great at all for options. Food in bags is very poor to offer. Restaurant on site didnt serve breakfast which was not great.

Thw last time we were here, I remember the bar being so fun. This year, the bar/ restaurant and pool all closed at 8 which was not at all convenient. The room was nice but the mirrors were dirty and I found someones left over subway in our fridge. I think Ill pay 2 star motel pricing somewhere else next year since this is what I basically received.

Played some golf and checked out the leaves in Hayward. Great hotel, clean, comfy beds. Highly recommend.

Serer gas in room
3rd year I've stayed there for fishing trips, every year rooms are in worse condition. This year sewer gas was very evident in bathroom, when telling the front desk they said it never has happened and did nothing. My room and two others on first floor had same bad smell, had to open the window and hold water in sink and bathtub to help reduce smell. Will not return sgain!!!

We were initially given the first room on the first floor as you turn right. We were initially given the first room to the right on the first floor. It stunk and looked bad. Got another room on second which was fine.

Mold in the bathroom on the wall and in the tub shower. The remodel was started, but appears to have missed important details. Beds are mediocre at best. Stayed here many times and never had problems like this. We won’t come back.

The area was perfect for getting to the atv trails. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. I would stay somewhere else next time because of the awful beds. For the price, the beds should be more comfortable.

There was a generator or some other engine running off and on the whole stay day and night at all hours very loud and annoying. Bed very uncomfortable but to be fair have not slept in a hotel that's had a comfortable bed.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. I liked that the sheets and linens were clean . Thank you for the new flooring! This has got to be easier to clean for the staff. Now just remove the rug and it's perfect for staff to clean. The bathroom sink and toilet were clean; the walls need attention. The restaurant was awesome! The staff are wonderful and the food was delicious. If we ever come back this way I will stay again! Thank you everyone!

Mattresses need an upgrade
We have stayed at Flat Creek many times. I like the location and the amenities. The hotel and rooms are clean. I like the hardwood floors in the rooms, not carpet. That is a nice improvement. The bed we had this time was horrible. I hope they soon invest in much more comfortable beds.

The accommodations were merely adequate. Room was not spotless as one expects. There is no service to room each morning to provide clean towels as needed. The hairdryer in our room did not work and no repair was attempted, no replacement offered.

The room was dirty, with dirty linens and sandy floors and smells of cigarettes. Some of the lights didn’t work in the room or flickered on and off. The main facility was average, the jacuzzi in the pool was no operating which was mildly disappointing. The restaurant however was very nice with great fish fry. Not sure I would stay here again, unless the hotel was cleaned and updated a bit.

Nice place in the Northwoods
Nice place. I have stayed here several times and the rooms are clean and nice. Restaurant and bar were closed due to staffing issues.

Check in was marginal at best. We were given room next to entrance even though there was plenty of vacancies. Staff was not welcoming. Room was run down at best. Old shower/vanity. Water pressure low in shower. Bed was not comfortable.
