"Great staff and rooms were really nice. Looked like they had recently been remodeled or updated. Bed and sofa were a bit worn out but otherwise great. The road up to the hotel is windy and gets very narrow the closer to the top. Doable, but be ready for some driving excitement. Staff was awesome!"

![This was taken on my way to the highest peak in Madeira, a beautiful little Portuguese isalnd near the African coast. I met the most friendliest people here on this isalnd. Madeira is so small that you do not need 1 month to go and see everything there is and elderly people speak very good English too !
