Hood Riverfront Getaway | Hot Tub | 4BR Chalet on 2 Acres | Pet Friendly Welcome! Come visit our beautiful mountain chalet in Rhododendron, Oregon, and enjoy everything Mount Hood has to offer. Located in the Mt. Hood National Forest, the property is less than an hour outside of Portland, and 15-30 minutes from Ski Bowl, Meadows Ski Resort and Historic Timberline Lodge. Our home is just steps from the Sandy River, on 2 acres of private land, allowing you to experience nature in its purest form but with ALL the comforts of a luxury home. Whether it’s for a weekend retreat, a family trip, a ski outing, a romantic escape, or just to get away from it all, you will not find a more relaxing, private, well-appointed house. Essentially every room in the house has a view of the river; this is a truly privileged location on the mountain, on the river, with over 2 acres of pristine forest for fishing, hiking and mountain biking. This magnificent 2,300 sq-ft home can sleep up to 10 people, boasts 3 private bedrooms (2 upstairs and 1 downstairs), 2.5 baths, and a large bunk room downstairs that sleeps 5\. (Please note you do have to enter the bunk room to get to the 3rd bedroom/bathroom.) Inside, the house is immaculate and beautifully furnished. The main level boasts an open living room with a majestic river rock wood-burning fireplace and spacious kitchen with a large island to accommodate prepping meals or dining for larger parties. The kitchen is a chef’s delight as it boasts granite countertops, a gas range, and all the kitchen gadgets, pots and utensils you could possibly need. The dining room accommodates 10 individuals and has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beautiful Sandy River and Zig Zag mountain, as well as access to the wraparound deck for outside lounging or sitting in the jacuzzi. Lastly, the garage is oversized and has a pool table. QUIET HOURS: 10 PM to 8AM Guests have access to the entire house and surrounding 2 acre property I'll be available throughout your stay, but will not be onsite Private 2 acres in Mt Hood National Forest, we have one neighbor nearby House is in private area of Mt Hood, a car will be needed. Parking for 4 cars and RV parking is available on request NO PARTIES ALLOWED Quiet hours from 10 pm to 8am - we have neighbors and want to be respectful Max (2) dogs - $100 fee will be charged for pets. For safety: There is a ring camera outside the home only. Neighbors have cameras outside their home. Please know you have to pass through the bunk room to get to the third bedroom and bathroom. The owners checked in with us to ensure we got in ok and if we needed anything after the first day/night, faultless communication. Though we didn’t need a thing, the property was so well equipped and fully kitted out, apart from providing our own food and drink, literally did not need anything else. With a full Christmas dinner cooked for 9 people easily. The location is absolutely brilliant, feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, yet an easy stroll down to amenities if you want to head out and take in some of the lovely area. There was seven of all together for a needed family time. Our youngest is joining the Air Force very soon, too soon actually. We were also in need for new family photo's and the cabin and river could not of been more perfect. Tons of room to walk around the house and never bump into anyone and yet felt like home the minute we arrived. Everyone was comfortable and the time we had together was priceless. I recommend to anyone needing some rest as well as time with nature. ##### sherry a. The mountain breeze jogs between the mountain trees over the river rock and through the window, cooling you during lunch in the nook.
