The hotel was very central to the town and beach, with everything easily walkable. Staff were always friendly and helpful, even before my trip when they offered assurances that all was fine in the local area due to wildfires elsewhere on the island that had impacted other trips around the time mine was taking place. This was really helpful! Room itself was good value for money with what you would expect with what you pay. Breakfast wasn't great, not many hot veggie options but there were other places locally so this wasn't a massive bother. Ideal for a solo trip, will return when I come back to Rhodes

Perfectly fine, and good to be away from the noise while still being central. Dont be too late for breakfast though as it tended to run very low close to the end. Great airport bustop just around the corner!

Very nice place right next to the beach. Staff are super friendly and available 24/7 which is super comfy if you arrive afterhours. Rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is good. Great place for its price!

Very pleasant stay
Excellent well positioned hotel in Rhodes town. Clean, friendly staff and good buffet breakfast options. Less than 15 minutes walk to Mandraki for buses and boats. Loved it.

The Africa Hotel was a great little hotel. It's not fancy, and I prefer it that way. It was basic, comfortable and clean. It was steps away from the ocean but a longer walk to the Old Town. The staff was great and friendly, and the breakfast was very good. The only quibble I have is that of the five nights I stayed there, I was woken up four mornings by the maid service. The only time that didn't happen was the day I had to leave at 7:30 to catch a ferry. It was my holiday, and I just wanted to rest. An easy fix would be if they just provided "Do Not Disturb" signs you could hang on the doors. I would certainly stay here again, though, and I intend to. I will go back to Rhodes.

What a pleasant surprise this hotel was. A clean, comfy, friendly home away from home. Delicious breakfast choices. Not far from the old city and close to a variety of very good restaurants and cafes. We would definitely stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay at the African hotel. The staff was outstanding for my son and I. It's centrally located to everything that my son and I wanted to do. It's walking distance from Old Town&a block away from the beaches. I highly recommend staying at the African hotel.

Kelpo hotelli ja kaikki perusasiat ovat kunnossa
Voin sanoa tämän olevan paras kahden tähden hotelli, jossa olen vieraillut. Henkilökunta oli hyvin kohtelias ja vastaanotto miellyttävä. Asiat hoituivat sujuvasti ja mutkattomasti. Siivous oli vierailun ajan täydellistä. Ilmastointi oli toimiva ja odotetunlainen. Parannettavaksi voisi mainita hotellin suihkusaippuan, joka taisi olla vedellä lantrattua. Kylpyhuone oli siisti ja muuten kunnossa. Aamiainen on kahden tähden odotuksille kelpo. Suosittelen nauttimaan katutason terassilla. Alakerran kerros on hieman ankea. Muistat vain palauttaa astiat alas tiskille. Jos budjetilla olet liikkeellä ja haluat kohtuulliset oltavat lomallesi, niin tämä on hyvä valinta. Baarikatu on aivan vieressä, mutta sieltä ei kantaudu häiriötä ollenkaan hotellille. Hyvien liikenneyhteyksien varrella.

Hyvä hinta-laatusuhde!
Hinta-laatusuhteeltaan loistava hotelli. Henkilökunta todella, todella ystävällistä ja saimme sydämellistä palvelua. Sijainti loistava, huone iso sekä mukava ja ylitti odotukset. Paljon kaappitilaa, mikä oli plussaa. Huoneen ilmastointi toimi myös erittäin hyvin. Parvekkeelta ihanat näkymät merelle ja auringonlaskuun. Risuja tulee siivouksesta, yleisten tilojen ilmastoinnin puutteesta sekä aamupalasta. Hotellin siivoojat ystävällisiä, mutta huone oli harvoin kunnolla siivottu eikä lattioita lakaistu/pesty. Aulassa, baarissa, aamupalahuoneessa ja yleisessä vessassa oli erittäin kuuma, mikä on ymmärrettävää kuuman heinäkuun aikaan mutta ilmastoinnin puute vaikuttaa viihtyvyyteen merkittävästi (varsinkin aamupalalla). Aamupala ei meidän mielestä ollut erityisen hyvä tai kattava, mutta perus leipätarpeet, munakasta ja kahvia löytyi. Tosin plussaa vielä siitä, että aamupalalla kasvikset olivat tuoreita ja hyviä. Kaiken kaikkiaan hinta-laatusuhteeltaan erittäin hyvä hotellivalinta!

We wish you could have told us the issue regarding the housekeeping, so we could resolve is straight away and check what was happening. The cleaning ladies have instructions to properly clean and disinfect all the rooms daily, so this was an issue we had to investigate.As for the breakfast, we would appreciate if you could give us few ideas of what else we could offer. For now we offer (in a rotation) 5 different types of bread, cheese, feta, ham, turkey, salami, fresh fruit & vegetables, yogurt, custards, eggs, omelets, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, beans, cakes, cookies, jam-tarts, tinned peach & pineapple, dates, olives, rice pudding, jelly, etc. Any suggestion would be very helpful!Once again, Thank your for visiting us and we hope you enjoyed your holidays in Rhodes!Kind regards,Margaret

Ihan kelpo majoituspaikka. Henkilökunta ystävällistä, aamupala ihan perushyvä, huoneemme oli mukava ja ilmalämpöpumppukin löytyi. Hyvä sijainti, merenranta ihan vieressä ja monet paikat ihan käveltävän matkan päässä. Ainoa pieni miinus oli että huoneemme sängyt oli aika kovat mutta hyvin meni viikon majoitukseen.

Good value for the money!
Really nice small hotel, good value for the money! We got smiling and helpful service from the personnel during our stay. Our standard room was comfort and clean, also nice bathroom. Air condition was working and fine. Fairly good breakfast was pleasant surprise. One negative side is that all the noise from the corridor was easy to hear to our room. That didn’t bother us too much though. If you are looking for good & basic hotel, Africa is a good choice.

Perus, hyvä hotelli, jossa kaikki tarpeellinen. Uima-allasta ei ollut, mutta ilmastointi löytyi ja meri 50m päässä. Huonemaisema, ainakin huoneesta 402, upea. Hlö-kunta hymyilevää ja lämmintä. Perheyritys? Aamiaisen paistetut munat lillui ihmeellisessä nesteessä, mutta maku hyvä.

Quello che colpisce è la cordialità del personale, sono stati molto gentili e disponibili, ad una nostra richiesta, sono andati a comprarci anche dello spago e delle mollette per poter stendere gli asciugamani fuori dal balcone. Preparati su orari dei bus. Manca un loro parcheggio privato, peccato. Colazione abbondante. Niente caffè espresso. Doccia con tenda. Lo consiglierei

Ottimo per la posizione e la pulizia
Hotel che si trova in ottima posizione, a 5-7 minuti a piedi dalla città vecchia di Rodi, 1 minuto a piedi dalla via piena di locali, accanto a farmacia, super market, rent car e spiaggia. Unica nota molto dolente, la colazione! terribile direi, è vero che è un due stelle, ma non si ha proprio cosa mangiare, la colazione è tutto tranne che continentale, abbiamo mangiato yogurt e una fetta di pane per una settimana, caffè imbevibile, succhi annacquati, fatti probabilmente con le bustine, frutta per niente saporita, insomma direi da migliorare! L'hotel comunque è molto pulito e il personale molto cortese e gentile nel dare indicazioni o mettersi a disposizione!

A destacar solo a la Sra recepcionista .
Ubicación buena , todo queda a distancias cortas . La sra de la recepción excelente muy cariñosa . El edificio ok considerando que es un hotel 2 estrellas . El desayuno con bastantes podibilidades de mejora . La limpieza de la habitación muy extraña . Nos cambiaron las toallas u no hicieron la cama , solo extendieron el cubrecamas un poco. Sobre las sábanas desordenadas .

I always stay at this hotel when I'm in Rhodes.
It's lovely ! The staff is super kind, rooms renovated and really nice. Very close to everything; the beach and the city. The breakfast is good with home baked doughnuts 😊

Good value for money in Rhodes
Near the West- Beach of Rhodes- City. You can reach everything by foot in Rhodes- City. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast selection, everyone found something. Rooms got refurbished, please do the same with bathrooms.

Tolles Hotel im Stadtzentrum nahe Altstadt
Wir hatte in der dritten Juiliwoche einen tollen Aufenthalt im Hotel Africa, das wir als Stüützpunkt für Ausflüg mit dem Mietwagen auf die ganze Insel nutzten. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut. Aufgrund der Nähe zu Altstadt, Strand und Partyzone ist die Umgebung des Hotels 24 Stunden lang lebhaft und laut. Auch im Hotel sind viele junge Partypeople eingecheckt. Das gratis Wlan ist flott. Einen Parkplatz hatten wir täglich im Umkreis von 30 Metern. Wem der Frühstücksraum nicht gefällt, der sitzt auf der Terrasse.

Dejlig stor fæles terrasse med kik til havet
Vores andet "stay" på Africa. Dejlig stor fæles terrasse med kik til havet. God morgenbuffet. Meget imødekommende personale. Små værelser. Men til en pris hvor alle kan være med. Og frem for alt en god beliggenhed i gå afstand til den gamle by og til traveture langs kysten og ind over land.
