Much Improved!
We had stayed at this hotel previously when it was a Super 8 and stopped staying there when the condition of the hotel really declined. We thought we’d give it a try now that it’s an AmericInn. I’m glad we did. The decor is refreshed and much better. In the past, the back door would not lock. Now the place is secure. Rooms are clean. The tub/shower was old and stained, but I could tell it was at least clean. Beds were much better than the past—ours was very comfortable. They put in a fire pit area which was nice. The other hotels in Tomahawk aren’t great and now this one is by far the best.

There was an unruley family group drinking beer and vaping in the pool area, they took my towels and room key, and the hotel staff was indignant with me when I complained. After I got back to my room, was running in the halls until after midnight. Hot rub and pool are a smaller design than I'm used to seeing at AmericInns.

Hotel was great. Worth driving from Rhinelander to stay. We were at a tournament in Rhinelander. This hotel was rated higher than the Rhinelander hotels and was much cheaper. Other tournament families stayed at Rhinelander hotels and were not happy. Glad we decided to go here.

My door did not shut properly. I had to yank on it to have it close. The room was clean, but had a strange odor like it had been a smoking room???? The water pressure was horrible. I had to pull hard and hold for quite a bit to get the water to come out of the showerhead. The pool room was just way too hot to even use the pool or hot tub. In the winter that might be nice, but not in the summer. The staff was absolutely the best. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast meal was great and had many options. It was easy to park and get into the building. It was very clean and nothing look old or worn out. The price was reasonable and so I would probably stay again.

Happy to travel from Rhinelander to save $$.
Hotel appears to have been renovated. Very satisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel and pool area. Desk staff was super friendly and accommodating to our kids. Would stay again.

Room was very clean. Had tv, refrigerator , microwave, and coffee maker. Close to everything on the main street. Would have liked decalf coffee in the room and maybe pen and paper...minor things. Would stay again.

Staff friendly, great breakfast. Garbage can by back entrance was full the entire wknd. Had housekeeping clean our room. She didnt vacuum carpet or clean bathroom floor.

Wonderful place to stay!
This was a last second booking due to originally having a horrible experience at a different hotel. The location was a little far as we wanted to b closer to Minocqua, but was totally worth it. All the staff we encountered during our stay were attentive and kind. The hotel was nicely updated and our room was awesome! It was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The offered breakfast was very good and they had a nice selection. The pool was clean and a great temperature. The hot tub was closed the evening of our arrival, but was promptly fixed and back open during the following day. We will definitely be coming back!

The property recently changed from a Super8. The remodeling looks great, but there are still signs around that say 'Super8' instead of 'AmericInn'. We thought the room was noisy. We were on the ground floor, which may have made the parking lot noise worse, but we could also hear a lot of hallway conversations and doors slamming. Our reservation from Expedia was not received by the property, which greatly delayed check-in, but staff worked with Expedia and we got a room for close to the amount we had expected to pay.
