Only a few minutes walk from the train station and they give you a free ticket to use any train or bus for miles around. So you can be in the middle of Freiburg in half an hour. "The reception, bar and restaurant were modern, clean and great environment. However, the cost of food and drink were particularly over priced. Couple this with having to pay 19 Euros for breakfast, 8 euros to use the pool - I honestly suspected I would get charged to use the toilet in my room at some point during the stay. The evening staff were not as friendly as the morning staff. We ended up venturing out for food due to price and experience, and managed to find a great local Asian restaurant - a 5 minute walk from the hotel - just be prepared for a hilly walk back up to the hotel! "
