Short walk to the start of the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. Close to restaurant, bar, church, and small store. 4 Kayaks available with life jackets for use with an option of transportation to drop off up river, fire pit with firewood provided. Deck overlooking the river, electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, computer, sauna, charging station. Relax and get away from it all! One Queen bed, one double bed, two twin beds in loft and one double futon in basement. 35 miles from Marquette, great base to explore the UP. Iron Ore Heritage Trail is suitable for Bike, Mountain Biking, Walking, four wheeling, snow mobile trail. Great fishing! We love beeing outside, on the river. There are kayaks for use and we used them every day. It was so relaxing. Marquette is only about 30 minutes away, so it was convenient for a farmers market and swim in lake Superior. The hiuse had everything we needed to cook meals. Everything we needed was there and then some! Very clean and roomy! It was pet friendly which was a nice bonus, and the dogs loved the property, especially being on the river and being able to jump in and swim! We were busy during the days chasing waterfalls and it was so nice to come back to a very comfortable place to unwind. Republic is a very pretty area and we did walk the dogs in the mornings before we took off on the adventures of the day. The quaint little town of Republic was very accommodating the breakfast at the restaurant was great thanks to Charlie for recommending it to us. The home was stocked with all needed amenities, the location was great, charming surroundings, and the owners Charlie and Shelly were extremely hospitable. It had absolutely everything we needed, including special extras like a sauna and fresh baked cookies! We loved being right on the water with access to kayaks. We loved sitting on the pour here with our coffee in the morning. Most of our hikes were in Marquette which was an easy 30-45 minute drive.
