There was a beetle in our room. We stayed in the Birch tower, 5th floor. The rooms are very dim. The carpet is dark, so it was hard to see the bug/beetle on the rug. The pool is detached from the hotel. You have to walk out to the pool. Having said all this, the staff was very nice and helpful. The staff at Hannah’s Table was great and went out their way to serve you.

Ongoing renovation. The area around the hotel is a little stark but you can walk to other dining options if you don't want to eat at the casino. The room was recently updated but it was disappointingly dark. The view from the room was nice.

We had Chrystal help us with our reservation and she had great customer service! Very knowledgeable as well as friendly, which is very hard to find these days. We really appreciate her help and answering our questions. The hotel has been completely updated since booking a room last year and we were very satisfied with everything they have done. The area is older, but we had absolutely no issues at all. Thanks J Resort! We’ll be back!

Room was renovated and clean, bed comfortable, bathroom was nice. Front desk/check-in staff was kind and friendly, check-in was quick and efficient. Outdoor rap concert hosted by hotel did not allow for quiet, restful night. It was loud and disruptive late into the night. Dined at both the onsite restaurant and buffet. Expensive, and wait staff were obviously very harried and very boisterous about staffing and kitchen issues allowing all guests to hear about their behind the scenes issues in an inappropriate manner making dinner stressful and unwelcoming. The buffet was decent but staff did not keep food stocked and were out of a lot of items. Waitress ignored our drink orders the entire meal. I think on a regular day, with normal prices, the stay wouldn’t have been remarkable, however, when a hotel raises prices 3-4 times the regular price because an event is in town or it’s a holiday, then the service should match the price. Unfortunately, the J Resort fell short.

Very cool visual displays at check in. It was a relatively quiet stay but I there happened to be a fire in the basement in the middle of the night and the entire resort was evacuated for 2 hours while the fire dept responded. Breakfast is really good here. The pancake is massive so bring an appetite if you order more than one.

I don’t normally write bad reviews but it was one thing after another. The tv remote didn’t work, there was no “do not disturb” sign for the door which I would have liked to use. No tv guide and that’s a button that didn’t work. They ended up slipping a channel guide under the door in the morning which was pretty useless at that point. But the worst was I called housekeeping and asked for two extra blankets and they said give us a little bit They never arrived, and when I let the front desk know these things they did not seem to care. I’m disappointed and I don’t think I would recommend

The facilities and the vast majority of the staff is outstanding. While i was there , there was an accident that took out the phones and internet. Accidents happen. The room in terms of quiet, clean, spacious and up to date deserve a "6.0 for VALUE. The price per value beats anything around it, or for anywhere in town for that matter. I took a chance and was happy. One thing ownership might be wise to invest in is quality control. Little things...but they do matter. Like the beautiful shower had a loose door handle. The tile was very clean, so you know housekeeping encountered it, but engineering didnt fix it. Little thing...but little things matter. But for the price it was great. The busser at hannas table should be promoted immediately to server. He is stellar. The green salsa there btw was the best i have had in my life. The front desk gal was excellent also. The shuttle driver was great and the list goes on. New spacious clean rooms are great, BUT...dial in on more of the little things.

This hotel used to be The Sands but it’s been a total upgrade from that hotel. Mind you as of this review that the hotel is still under construction. The parking lot might seem small but there is a parking garage and valet. As this being my first visit and it was also my birthday we got an upgrade with a kitchen net. We had a fridge (not a tiny one) a sink and a counter. The room was pretty clean and spacious with lots of light (natural and regular lights) my in-laws room didn’t have that great of light so I suggest a room with a Mountain View. The staff at the front desk was super nice and helpful when I needed help with something. They have two restaurants and one quick food if you’re on the go. They have Hannah‘s and then the steakhouse. Steakhouse is very expensive, so we didn’t go. But Hannah‘s was really good for brunch and breakfast. You get a lot for your buck. The only thing I had to complain about Hannah’s is that the drinks need work and there just needs to be a better wait staff. The Casino floor was all right. I feel like there needs to be more table games. You are walking distance from the row. It’s a 5 to 10 minute walk depending on what casino you’re going to. They also have a neon walk. The street is also getting a makeover as well. Again, the hotel is still currently under construction, but I would stay here again

The staff and security went above and beyond to get my Ram 3500 and 24’ enclosed trailer in a secure lot. Security made special rounds to keep an eye on my rig! If you’ve ever been to the old sands, and go to the same location, you will be amazed! Still a few bugs to work out but nothing major. Forget the “Row” hotels, the J resort is superior to those hotels. Try it, I guarantee you’ll be impressed!

We checked into our room and the TV and air conditioner were both not working so the maintenance worker stated that we needed to switch rooms. As we were headed back down to the lobby we happened to see the managers in the elevator and we explained our situation to them. They were outstanding!! They immediately took us over to the front desk and upgraded us to a gorgeous suite for the inconvenience. They were professional and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

3 people were staying in the room but they would only leave 2 washcloths. They gave us 3 towels but only 3 washcloths even after we reminded the staff. Our phone did not work and if we needed to contact the desk we called using our cell phone but then we started getting a supervisor’s voice mail. We asked for toilet paper and they brought us 6 rolls which felt a little passive aggressive. We made use of the shuttle to the airport and we were standing by the shuttle bus so when no one was there we went to the bell hop desk they told us we were supposed to check in with them but we were told to be outside by 7:30. Hannah’s Table was excellent and outside eating was offered. Hannah’s Express had plenty of options. Room was spacious and clean! We would like to recognize Hedy at the registration desk as she was excellent…as well as the woman that was working on 5/14 in the evening was also excellent..:she got us the extra washcloths and made sure we had water. We would definitely stay again and most likely will when we return to bowl at the Women’s National Bowling Championship! Looking forward to seeing the finished product especially the buffet and swimming pool.
