Minutes from Hiwassee River. Welcome to our tiny cabin! Our one bedroom cabin includes a queen bed, and a set of bunk beds in a separate, closed off nook. The living room has vaulted ceilings and a corner kitchen nook. Enjoy your large fire pit looking at the stars with the soothing sounds of the forest around you. We provide all the firewood you will need for the fire pit and the wood burning stove for those cool nights. The Hiwassee River is a 6-minute drive from the cabin. There you can rent kayaks or innertubes from a few outfitters and take a nice long float down the river. These outfitters are only open during seasonal times. You can also enjoy fishing along the river. There are many parks and picnic areas within 15 minutes of the cabin. Across from one of those parks is a short hike that has 4 separate waterfalls (Lowry Falls). People love this short hike. One of our favorite things to do is to go back in time on the Hiwassee Loop Train Ride. The 50-mile ride takes about 5 hours. You will get to hear the history of the train and the towns it passes through. The railroad was built in the1890's. The Beautiful views of the Hiwassee River Gorge are breathtaking. This place is small with amazing detail, the hosts have thought of everything, to include a s’mores bar for the outside fire pit. Their thoughtfulness shows in every corner of this precious cabin. It may be small but it housed a total of 8 guest for thanksgiving dinner and we all enjoyed it. There were 4 of us the first two nights and three the last night, it felt cozy and warm but never cramped. Thank you so much. I hope we get to stay again. It was lovely. ##### Tracie F. There is snacks and firewood provided. Very clean and comfortable. The neighbors dogs are so sweet and friendly. There is no cell service out there but starlink is provided. The host informed us that the room was ready for check-in earlier than scheduled. (We actually arrived well after the scheduled check-in time...wish we would have had more time on this property🙂) Everything was as advertised, if not better! The hosts were exceptionally thoughtful and provided items that would be easily overlooked by most travelers, but very much appreciated to have...ie. 🔦, small Bluetooth speaker. They also had a jar of snacks for the guests as well as all the necessary ingredients to make s'mores at their AWESOME campfire ring! (We left our unopened s'mores ingredients that we had brought for the trip, enjoy!) The neighbor's dogs were adorable...but if you're not a dog person, you will have to figure that out. (They were friendly and very sweet.) Absofuckinlutely love our stay here!
