Welcome to Glen Bothy Estate — a private retreat tucked deep within the storybook folds of the Tamar Valley wine region. Set on acres of soft pastures and rolling hills, this enchanting haven weaves together quiet luxury, stillness, and the earthy magic of a working vineyard.

Though it may feel as if you’ve wandered a million miles from civilisation, the estate rests just a dreamy 10-minute drive from Launceston City — close enough for convenience, yet far enough to feel utterly enchanted.  
  
Guests are invited to unwind in complete serenity, with direct easement access to the tranquil North Esk River — perfect for simply soaking up the peaceful natural surrounds.  
  
Thoughtfully transformed from a humble cellar door into an expansive, refined residence, Glen Bothy Estate offers an escape like no other. From the moment you meander down the winding driveway, you’ll be captivated by the breathtaking, panoramic views across the Tamar Valley.  
  
Stepping through the front door, you are welcomed into the home’s generous open-plan living domain. Designed for effortless relaxation, the sun-washed east-facing living area spills out onto broad paved terraces overlooking the rolling vines.  
  
Inside, two sumptuous couches invite you to choose your favourite vantage point — be mesmerised by the flickering glow of the wood heater, curl up with a book as the fire quietly warms the room, settle in for a movie, or simply enjoy long conversations with loved ones while gazing through enormous picture windows framing the sweeping landscape.  
  
The fully equipped gourmet kitchen will leave even the world’s finest chefs wanting for nothing. Imagine preparing a celebratory meal in this exquisite space while friends and family gather at the island bench or chat animatedly around the dining table, buzzing with excitement. Whether you dine indoors or slide open the full-height doors to the sun-drenched outdoor dining area, every meal is a moment to savour.  
  
A separate cosy sitting nook is ideal for quiet morning conversations before the house awakens — a coffee in hand, warmed by the gas log fire, setting the tone for a perfect day. Or step outside onto the outdoor lounge and breathe in the drifting jasmine fragrance and the freshest country air imaginable.  
  
The private sleeping wing features four beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with its own pristine ensuite. All offer built-in storage, while the master suite boasts a generous walk-in robe. Every room captures uninterrupted views of the vineyard, lush pastures, and distant mountains, ensuring a restful and immersive retreat.  
  
A stylish main bathroom and a practical boot room complement the home’s thoughtful layout, making it wonderfully suited to couples, families, or groups seeking both space and comfort.  
  
Out the back, guests can enjoy leisurely alfresco lunches, a wood-fired pizza oven, and a gas BBQ — perfect for long afternoons spent in the sunshine.  
  
And then there’s the estate’s signature indulgence: a romantic wood-fired outdoor soaking tub with mesmerising vineyard vistas. Nothing more needs to be said.  
  
As the oldest vineyard in the region, the property spans approximately 5.5 hectares under vine, producing grapes for many award-winning wines. As it is a working vineyard, we kindly ask guests not to wander along the rows to preserve the integrity of the crop.

Guests have access to the entire main home with the exception of the garage. Access is via a lockbox and details will be sent before arrival.   
  
Private guest parking is available at the property.  
  
It is a working vineyard and we ask that guests not enter the vineyard or the farm sheds or any equipment.  
  
We are available by phone from 8 am to 8 pm if you have any questions during your stay.   
  
We would love it if you could message us when you have arrived safely and also a message on leaving is appreciated so we can clean as early as possible for our next guests.  
  
Please please let me know as soon as you can if there are any issues at all so I have a chance to take the appropriate action to ensure your stay is it should be - totally stress-free and relaxing!!  
  
I\`m not always able to personally check the house before your arrival - I am heavily reliant on my housekeeper and I need to know as soon as possible if you and therefore I have been let down in any way by the presentation of Glen Bothy Estate.  
  
Families and children are welcome at the Glen Bothy Estate - the setting is magic! As a working vineyard and with the river running through the property you may require some extra supervision with little ones.  
  
The property may not be ideal for people with accessibility requirements. There are no stairs to reach the front entrance but there are small flights of stairs into the bedroom wing.  
  
This is a semi-rural property with some steep and uneven areas in the surrounding gardens if you wander far from the house  
  
A gardener tends to the property from time to time. Please be aware that they may tend to the garden throughout your stay.  
  
Before your arrival, we will also share a house guide that contains instructions on how to access the property, use certain appliances and anything else you may need to know.
