The actual pub downstairs is quite nice, as is the garden and drinks seemed reasonably priced. However, the room was digusting and filthy. The bathroom had not been cleaned at all, the toilet was vile with mess and didn't flush probably. The bedroom was fine, the beds were reasonably comfy but no mattress protectors and we chose to sleep on top of the duvet because of questionable marks. There were multiple items left from the previous guest, who left the bathroom in an awful state. There was not even soap in the bathroom, just hand sanitiser. The stairs and hallway were full of stuff everywhere, things spilling out of cupboards. And our key to the back entrance did not work!!!! Thankfully we got back early enough the pub was only just open, otherwise we'd have been locked out all night! We didn't mind disturbed by the noise, but I would not recommend it for anyone who wants quiet. It is right next to the train track, and they run late and start early. We have never stayed anywhere so dirty and such extremely poor value for money. The staff onsite were friendly and helpful but the first worrying sign was the hall and stairs leading to the room which had piles of general stuff in every corner, up against doors and overflowing from cupboards. The room was large but had clearly not been hoovered for a while. The bathroom was in a poor condition. And there were stains on the pillow cases and towels. Should have read the reviews for the rooms.. This was a bit of a panic booking and learned the mistake of not reading reviews. There is a lot that could be improved upon at this property. When we checked in they seemed almost surprised and then after waiting whilst the host went to "deal with a pizza", we were led to our room. It was very dated, very basic, had no towels, no cups for the coffee and tea but best of all! Still had poo in the loo from the previous visitors. The website also clearly said bed and breakfast but there was no breakfast available. Lovely clean room and facilities. Right by Reigate station for anyone wishing to commute into the city. Bar downstairs was well stocked and seemed popular with the locals. Arrived at the hotel, downstairs was fine but the room was disgusting. Didn't stay the rest of the weeks booking. There was what looked like faeces stains on a pillow, dirty make-up pads left in the room it had obviously not been cleaned in preparation for my stay. The picture of the showerhead says it all. When I complained to Hotels.Com they informed me they could not get in touch with the hotel to offer a refund so I had paid 4 nights in full for a one night stay.
