« The property is really nicely done up and the folk who run it are charming. The local shops (within 50 yards) are superb and we enjoyed getting bread and meat from them for going home! The local pub was an excellent place to dine! »

« Lovely friendly welcome and very attentive. Rooms are in the middle of being decorated however that doesn't detract from the comfort or amazing views. Good location for the train station 🙂 Liked the pack in the room with the story of Beggar's Bridge, we had a walk down to it after a delicious breakfast and ended up carrying along through the woods. »

« Cameron and his wife have created a lovely, bespoke place to stay in Staithes. Our room was spotless and the bed was really comfy. Perfect cooked breakfast from Cameron. We would love to return. A decent hill to negotiate down to the quay and the rooms but worth the effort. »

« Cant not fault the place. Its was clean, easy to gain access with it being unmanned, shops near by for food. Will stay again if in the area. »

« Wildgoose Cottage was a fabulous, away from it all break. The only noise we heard was nature, cows, pheasant and lots of birds. We were lucky to see a deer with a fawn and boxing hares. This is a very relaxing place to stay but a good 45 minutes walk to the centre of Whitby either along the road or the Cleveland Way. »
