My husband and I stayed in a standard room; number 6.
I mention the room number because it is a tired room in need of a facelift; particularly around the front door/fridge area. In our opinion, the price charge was too much for a room in need of a renovation. We have previously stayed at Sleepy Hill in other rooms that are better presented.
Having said that, the room was very clean and the queen size bed was comfortable with new pillows and linen.
A complimentary continental breakfast was included in the room rate and it was excellent. Every possible dietary need was catered for and the dining room was well lit with a view to the pool area.
The owners were welcoming and the reception had plenty of tourist information and maps on the local area.
Overall, we would return to Sleepy Hill, but we would avoid room 6.
Strange little place really :)
Good location but odd.
Continental breakfast only, can get espresso coffee in the morning, only pot coffee.
The rooms are dated, small shower (ours had dirty taps without hot and cold labels - vertically mounted so not the usual :) )
The rooms were big though, spacious and clean - although the giant can of bug spray was set up like a welcome gift.
The best part was the pool - wonderful - saving grace.
