This newly built cabin features modern conveniences with tranquility and a rustic feel. Experience breathtaking views, beautiful sunsets, hiking, a seasonal creek, an abundance of wildlife, and incredible rock formations to explore. The cabin is on 40 acres of rolling hills full of oaks and pines and is surrounded by hundreds more. Horses are welcome - we have two temporary horse corrals. The small (916 sq. ft.) 1-bedroom, 1-bath cabin can accommodate up to eight total guests as it has three queen beds and two foam floor mats. One of the queen beds is located in a sleeper sofa located in the living room. The 3rd queen and two sleeper mats are located in a low loft more suited for children. Our base rate includes up to four guests; additional guests are $25/night/guest. We can accommodate up to two dogs for a pet fee of $100. If you are looking for a bit more space, search also for the Hafkey Cabin Escape 2, which is located nearby and features 1280 square feet, 2-bedrooms, 2-baths and a larger sleeping loft. Raymond is a very historic small town featuring an incredible free museum (open Sundays only), as well as a general store, restaurant, saloons, lakes, rivers, hiking trails, granite mine, historic markers and the famous stage run to Yosemite. In the old days, before all the highways were built, travelers heading north to Yosemite National Park took the train to Raymond and then caught a stage to make the rest of the trek. Remnants of the old railway and turntable, to turn the train around, are still visible and showcased at the Raymond Museum. Today, bike and motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the world come to Raymond to ride the old stage road (now Road 600) and other curvy byways to Yosemite, stopping to visit the many historical monuments on the way. Travel to Yosemite National Park: Although we are relatively close to the southern entrance, the park is massive and winding roads and slow traffic increase travel time substantially. Give yourself at least an hour to reach the southern entrance to the park and even more time to get to popular sites within the park. The Mariposa Grove (giant sequoias) is very close to the entrance of the park. Really enjoyed the wildlife and waking up to the sounds of nature. We were able to roam the property with no restrictions, other than close the gate behind you 😊. Sunrises and Sunsets are beautiful. Having morning coffee on the deck watching the dog run around brought lots of joy to my wife and I. Not too far from Yosemite! I would definitely recommend checking with the owner regarding stickers/fox tails before going if you have dogs. By far, this was the best RVBO stay I've experienced. The property is fantastic. The home is comfortable and the front porch view has the perfect setting for stunning sunsets. Mark and his wife were soooo accommodating. Through the Blizzard of '23, and two Atmospheric Rivers they kept in communication to insure I kept my stay. Mark gave me some great recommendations to visit in town. I was fortunate to have a morning visit each day from three turkeys who seemed content to circle the cabin looking for bugs to eat. It was really hard to leave after three nights. I'll be back for sure. ##### Duke S. We were so impressed to know that the owner's family built this beautiful cabin. We had a great time there even though the weather was not great. We enjoyed cooking every meal, reading books, playing card games and just being lazy. (That is one of the cabin rules!) The location is also fantastic. Quiet and peaceful. My Husband and I have stayed here a total of 3 times so far and plan on staying many more times in the future. Our dogs enjoy roaming the property with us and playing so much they sleep for a week after we leave. The adventures walking the trails and rolling hills are what we love the most with amazing views. It's so peaceful. The home is utterly amazing. The hosts are so nice, accommodating, and just generally awesome people. They are there if you need them but give you the privacy you're probably looking for booking a place like this. Trust me, you won't be disappointed in this place. ##### Heather D. High powered AC. Good water. Well-built cabin with amazing porch to soak in the sun and the quiet. Loved the recommendation to go see the Raymond museum. My Husband and our dogs have stayed here twice now and this is an amazing place! Such beautiful, secluded scenery with great land to roam and stroll around. The home is immaculate and stocked well with things needed. The hosts are great friendly people who are there if you need them but leave you in peace if you don't need them. We cannot wait to book more trips here in the future. The sunsets will take your breath away. We have yet to explore the town of Raymond yet because we can't seem to peel ourselves away from the gorgeous views and leisurely walks we take around the property. Thank you guys for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful property and cabin. We find such peace and great mental respite from the everyday hustle when we visit here. ##### Heather D.
