We recently took two hotel rooms and combined into one nice kitchenette suite. All new bathrooms, kitchens, doors, windows, lock system and furniture. Still has the old radiators and wall mounted AC units that we just couldn't find a way around, but they work great! An excellent base camp to enjoy the Black Hills and Badlands. Owners are avid hikers and mountain bikers who have lived in the area their entire lives. Happy to help get you pointed in the right direction. This apartment is on the second floor. The Sojourn Vacation Rentals and Flats offers modern, fully furnished flats in Rapid City, SD. Rooms include a kitchen with a full refrigerator, microwave, cooktop and dishwasher. They also include a living space and private bedroom. There is a patio available for guest’s relaxation and enjoyment. The Sojourn is conveniently located for travelers looking to visit Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Sturgis, and more. This property is nonsmoking and no pets. The kitchenettes are perfect for the vacationer or longer term out of town employee who needs some local housing. Located on Mt. Rushmore Road. 1.5 miles to downtown Rapid City, 26 miles to Mt. Rushmore. Local hiking and biking trail heads as close as .5 miles from property. Great selection of restaurants and stores in walking distance. .75 miles from Rapid City Regional Hospital. Notes There are 3 steps between the kitchen/living and the bed/bath areas in this unit. There is no door between these two areas. We use the KeyCafe automated check in system so you can arrive anytime after 3pm. The booking code and instructions will be sent via txt and email on the day of arrival. Of course, we are happy to assist! The manager was easily contacted and very friendly. We appreciated that all the amenities we needed were provided, such as plenty of towels, and kitchen utensils and tools. The beds were comfortable. Drawbacks: no elevator, so you need to be comfortable climbing stairs; the couch is very low, so you need to be nimble enough to stand up from it.
