No need for a car—we were walking distance from downtown Raleigh, and a quick scooter/bike ride from the bus station to get to Durham. Strolling the historic Oakwood neighborhood in the morning was lovely. Definitely check out the brunch at Longleaf Swine right on the corner—it blew us away. We couldn’t wait to get back to The Acorn at the end of a long day. And as coffee people, we especially appreciated the Aeropress in the kitchen, which allowed us to brew some of the beans we picked up at Jubala (which was an incredible local roaster and coffee shop). Main issue was with communication, I had asked about checkin information the day before and day of check in, and they didn’t send it until an hour after checkin time.
