For those arriving by air, Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is about a 20-minute drive away. While public transit isn't extensive in this area, ride-sharing services are readily available. If you're planning on exploring downtown Raleigh, it's approximately a 15-20 minute drive, depending on traffic. This makes our chalet a convenient base for both local adventures and trips further afield. Other Things to Note: This is a three-story home and requires the use of stairs to access the top and lower levels, which may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns. The backyard is fully fenced, providing a private and secure space for you and your pets. Beyond the fence, the property's yard slopes down to a natural, unfenced creek. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck for evening cocktails & would have loved to have used one of the fireplaces if we had been there longer. There was plenty of space & privacy for 4 adults, 2 toddlers & 1 dog. The only 2 things that would have been an added plus for us was a measuring cup & even more so-1 or 2 baby gates. Either a door or a baby gate would have been great for the downstairs set of stairs! We ended up going to Target (very close & convenient to purchase a baby gate.
