I was traveling with a dog and the fenced backyard was very convenient. Unfortunately, East Durham and this neighborhood are in a state of transition so it wasn't the most ideal location. It's nothing that the owner can control but many of the other homes on the block were not of the same quality and we had some minor noise disruptions from neighbors. Backyard with 8’ privacy fence excellent for our dog. Kitchen had all the basics and was good size. Neighborhood is “ in transition”. Some houses are renovated. Some are run down. Neighbors were fine. Mostly quiet, but Friday and Saturday night there was an hour or so of loud music. Owner was available by phone, Back yard was a swamp land so the kids could not play in back but we made the best of it The nice size deck helped out a lot. No Blender. Mud also on that entry door. Front yard had some tall weeds in the hedges. There was some kind of odor in the front of the house and the bathroom. We decided not to stay but the owner was nice and refunded us for the additional nights. We found less sleeping space than listed on the website. ##### Art H.
