Stayed 8 nights in Aug 2025 ### 8/10 Good #### Jennifer B., Atlanta Nov 20, 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Proximity to downtown Durham is the benefit The space is dated, more so than the pictures make it look, and not laid out with hospitality in mind (i.e. - no towels out in the bathroom, they were all together on a desk in the bedroom, thermostat was off so it took 4 hours to warm up). It’s the front of a shared wall unit on a semi-busy street - and that makes this unit particularly loud - any car doors, cars driving by, or the train going through you hear. The value here is it’s incredible proximity to downtown Durham, and the per night price reflects that. However, all the required extras (insurance and cleaning fee, the pet fee is my choice) - pushed it to well over $400 for one night -which is excessive for this type of location. Additionally, the property response lead, while prompt, was not interested in engaging to be helpful. For example - the thermostat was off, and there was no labeled button to turn it on, and the buttons weren’t responding to me, so I reached out for help. It’s a good thing I figured it out because the response I received was that temperature could be controlled from the thermostat. The fenced yard is also not maintained.
