We regret not having met your expectations, we are a small and cheap hotel between Quepos and Manuel Antonio and we love to satisfy our guests. The management appreciates that when something goes wrong it is communicated immediately to try to fix it and not realize it days later in a review but we understand that there are ways to do things and we are respectful of that.

Thank you for the time to leave a comment. As described on Expedia, we do not provide the basic personal hygiene products such as shampoo, conditioner or lotion. Our Standard rooms are as described with screened windows and ceiling fan, thus are designed for budget-minded travelers. Towels are provided for guest in the rooms, but we do not supply towels for use at the beach. Enjoy the remainder of your time in Costa Rica.

Thank you for taking time to comment. Our Standard rooms are noted as being a basic room without AC., and a screen window allows air movement and keeps the bugs out. This part of the country is among the warmest and most humid, but with the the climate comes the abundance of wildlife and the beautiful rainforest which attracts visitors like you. Our on-demand shower-head is a common fixture across not only Costa Rica but Central America, and hot water is a feature not all hotels budget or otherwise offer. Our budget rooms are supplied with only a cold water feed making the electric demand shower the only option. We hope the remainder of your travels through Costa Rica were pleasant.

Thanks for your review and please note that we take very serious the complains and take actions inmediatelly to remedy every isuue you mentioned here. The raining season just finish (Dec 20) and living in the jungle is not easy. Every year after the rain, we need to paint more than 90% of the hotel and sometimes, the busy christmast and new years season dont give us the time we need to make everything look fresh and clean for your visit in January. We do have a little Oasis as past clients said in many other reviews, our deluxe rooms with a/c are near the second pool and behind the main main buildind (restaurant and reception) where late wake ups take place every day. This pool and deluxe rooms are immerse in very high almonds tree where the scarlet makaws eat lunch every other day, also monkeys have make this oasis their road to cross in the famous monkey bridges. The Quepos Manuel Antonio area is recognize for the beatifull nature, willife and beaches and we are located only 6 kilometers before the most visited National Park in Costa Rica "Manuel Antonio", our hotel is a very low budget with only 2 room categories (standard and deluxe) our standard rooms with fan (only $70 at night) are the perfect room to rest and sleep after a full day of activities on the beach or walking in the park. Our deluxe rooms (only $105) are biggert and have a/c and screen TV. Up grades from standard to deluxe cost only $20, I believe you miss understand our receptionst (we dont have $300 rooms), also as the New Manager I am always available to talk to the guest but I dont remember any call from you. I'm sorry we did not meet your expectations but thank you for your review that lets us know what we failed to correct and move forward.

Thanks for your visit and for the review. Our Hotel has 2 categories of rooms, standard with fan and deluxe with A/C. Our standard rooms are the lowest price in the area as they are small and just confortable to sleep and rest after the day of activities on the beach. Our deluxe room with A/C are bigger and besides the A/C they also have screen TV. We are sorry if you stay wasn't good and hope to see you back one day to see all the improvements we are doing.

Sharlyne, Thank you for the kind words. We have two styles of rooms at Hotel Mono Azul. The more economical rooms are smaller with no AC. The larger slightly more expensive rooms have AC, TV and balconies. We would love to have you come back and experience the rooms with AC.
