A big shout out to Fabrice, the restaurant manager, who was so very friendly and helpful in giving us tips on the local area. I thought at first this was a result of seaside heat and humidity, so I didn't report the smell. A few days later, when I opened the safe the day before my departure, my passport and other valuables were wet. That is when I realized that the nasty odor was due to chronic leaking of the AC and the water dripping and seeping into the closet and woodwork right under the AC, including the metal safe attached to the wall of the closet!! I had an early departure the day after, so I didn't have time to complain, but other reviews have reported similar bad smells, and if AC leaks are also the problem, then something needs to be done. You don't want people's valuables and passports to get wet inside the safe that's meant to protect them. On the upside, the hotel provides a shuttle service (a "navette") to and from the Ajaccio airport, which is convenient. Also, you can take the beach shuttle right outside the hotel, which will get you to various beaches in the "Rive Sud."
