We went straight from the airport to the rental and no where else before checking out. I was wearing my shoes at the airport and into the rental. My whole group is positive I left my shoes just inside the door. As soon as I realized, just a few hours after check out, I wrote the manager to collect them. It took several hours for a reply and all I got was a short “ our cleaner said there were no shoes”. I asked if they could check again and haven’t heard back in 24 hours. It’s my fault for leaving them behind but it is dishonest to say they weren’t found as there is no where else they could possibly be. The bedding felt clean and fresh, the house had no odour, but lounge room and the kitchen didn’t give me that feeling probably due to the age of the property and the evidence of stains on the sofa. The bathroom felt rundown, cheap supermarket shampoo and soaps, the taps were difficult to use and children unfriendly. The kitchen lacks oil, paper towels or tissue.
