The Dewey House is truly unique with wonderful space and a fantastic view across the pond. Convenient to Dartmouth, Woodstock and other locations, we very much enjoyed the location and the experience. The kitchen was well equipped and the gas grill was perfect for dinner in one night. Great weekend stay
We had a lovely New Years Friends Weekend at the Dewey House. The house itself was great, with plenty of privacy for each couple. Location was also great --near Woodstock, Quechee, White River Junction etc. Hosts were very responsive.

A favorite Christmas stay
Our family (3 generations) spent the holiday in this lovely home, that was very accommodating in that all of the modern amenities met our needs. However, the old feeling of this 1800's home was also present, with many of the historical architecture still in place. There was plenty of room for everyone with many out of the way spaces to spend if one wanted to get away to read or relax.

Spacious property with a history. Heating system could use some update as sound of heater overnight is not negligible.

We came up to visit friends in Quechee for the 4th of July weekend. The property is beautiful - wonderful views of Dewey Pond from the back porch. The only thing that wasn't quite up to par was the gas grill - it was not properly maintained and it was not functional. I'm sure this issue will be resolved for future visitors, but it was a bit of a bummer on a summer holiday weekend.
