Auberge Internationale de Québec

19 rue Sainte-Ursule, Quebec - Map
Right at the heart of where everything is and great for what it is. Really cool staff. My sheets had some tiny dry blood spots that seemed to not have come off from the wash though. That was on the base sheets, not on the white sheets they give with every new person arriving. The wi-fi was very bad in the room but worked great in the lobby. Overall had quite a pleasant experience and would definitely stay there again next time I go back to Quebec.

Loved my stay. It was even nicer than I expected from pictures/rating. Very clean, fresh. Looks brand new rather than renovated. Very pleasing decor/lighting. And The beds were comfortable, the sheets crisp and fresh, even a germs phone would feel comfortable. Breakfast was decent!

"Nice clean and quiet hotel with friendly staff"
free shuttle service to and from Old Quebec City, being the first stop was a bonus. Bilingual staff, good hearty breakfast. The front desk arranged for our taxi for 4:30am. We were very well taken care of, as always with any Best Western. The only thing I would like to see, is a more casual dinner venue, being so far from any other restaurants. We found we had to stay downtown for dinner and bring a taxi back to the hotel for 22.00CAN. Maybe a lounge with some finger food and smaller plates with TV for snacking and watching sporting events. It's a nice hotel, and I recommend it. Free coffee on the hop is nice too. Since there is a spacious lobby, I recommend a meet and greet wine and beer at 5pm every day, so we can catch up with the peeps we meet while we wait for the bus, that would be fun!! Best Western Tuscan in SF does this, it goes over very well.

"Ideal if you have a car"
I enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfortable and the location is away from the touristy areas so you don't deal with much traffic but it's close enough to drive to Old Quebec quickly. There's also free parking. I would stay here again.

Quebec eco hotels do their part to cut down on waste, reduce energy use and carbon emissions, and use recycled goods when they can. Many of these hotels are also centrally located so you can walk to all of the top attractions in town instead of driving. If you do need a lift, Quebec does have an excellent public transportation system in place for cruising around the city.

While you’re exploring everything the town has to offer, you’ll no doubt notice several parks and green spaces located throughout the area. One of the most popular sites in town is the Plains of Abraham, a 95-hectare park that is home to gardens, walking trails, and an arboretum. If you want to get more into the nitty gritty of man’s place in the history of earth, check out the Museum of Civilization. The site has travelling exhibits spotlighting the relationship between conservation and lifestyle.

Once you’re ready to head back to your Quebec City hotel, you can continue to make a positive impact in the world. Choose to reuse your towels and sheets more than one day in a row and try to keep the a/c and heater at a comfortable but reasonable Celsius.

Visit this dynamic city, and do your part to ensure that its green beauty lasts for years to come.
