"Great Location and History!"
We have stayed here before and had an ok experience so we thought we would do it again. The first time we were here we had a lower floor that had a window that could be opened for the fresh air. Unfortunately, this also meant that we had a very close up and personal view of the Fortification wall, and saw nothing else. There was also that great music festival in the square out front that attracted a large crowd. It went a little late (maybe an after party?) and the noise travelled well into the night. This time around we had an inner room that instead of an outside window had a beautiful view of an indoor garden complete with skylight that let in all kinds of natural light while keeping the noise away (another Festival). I LOVE staying here for the history and the close proximity to all things Old Quebec. 2 things I would change for an even better experience. 1- I think in this day and age, one does not need a telephone next to the toilet (small bathroom) I knocked this thing off the wall every time I went in and once in the middle of the night I think I broke my toe with it 2- The beds are not the most luxurious, very much on the Hard side (unless that is what you prefer) Hubby slept well but I did not. We had an unfortunate Quebec thunderstorm while we were there and I guess they were warned that there would be a power disrupt in the middle of the night. They called to inform us and left us a flashlight just in case we needed it.

Gorgeous hotel! Staff was attentive. Excellent location. Impressive breakfast. My only suggestion would be to increase the room lighting in some way - it's quite dark!

"Lovely European Feel Hotel in Old Quebec City"
This is a lovely hotel that will remind travelers of being in Europe. It has a small and warm feel but with the sophistication and amenities you expect from a good hotel. Wonderful staff, extremely helpful concierges and front desk. Our suite was not luxurious but it was beautiful. We loved staying here.
