"Nice hotel with a great location."
Overall it was very good due to the great location. It is about a 15 minute walk to the old city. We were ther during Carnivale so all the activities at the Plains of Abraham were only about 10 minutes away. close to a number of very good restaurants and bars.

Les Lofts St-Joseph

"Home away from home!"
The St. Joseph Loft is located not far (about 15 minute walk) to Old Quebec City. The apartment well very modern and exceptionally clean. The two bedroom accommodated our family of 6 quite well. The only complaint would be that curtains separated the bedrooms from the main living space. When we put our 4 year old to sleep at night we would have to be extra quiet because the noise would travel right down the hallway into the bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped with all the pots and pans we needed to make breakfast in the morning. There was detergent available for washing your clothes in the washer and dryer in your room. There wasn't a maid to come and clean your room each day or replace your towels, but you did have the option to spend $60 to have someone come, we opted out. Not far from the apartments were many restaurants (Poutineville), a bakery/chocolate store, and a grocery store. We did witness some homeless people sleeping on store stoops, and just a block away at the church. If you're driving, prepare to get lost in the maze of one way streets. My husband got extremely frustrated by the labyrinth of roads, but being there after a couple days we finally got better at navigating the one ways. The staff was only available from 11am-7pm, so if you had any questions, that was the time to get them answered! We had no problems connecting to the internet, only problems figuring out the TV. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return again!

"Nice hotel right in lower town"
Only downside to this hotel: no minibar, no room service (although they will accommodate you from the restaurant). The machines at the gym are ancient and don't work. Other than that, very nice hotel for long stays.

"Fantastic location"
Fantastic location for a great price. Right in the heart of the old city. Only downside is parking, which is okay if you have a small car. Otherwise, find a city lot, but that was okay as I parked the car there and did not use it for two days while there. I got a place in the next building, which turned out to be an apartment, with a huge living room with fireplace, big kitchen and huge bedroom with two beds. Living room had a pull out couch, so this place could easily sleep six. Never used the hotel for anything beyond that, so I don't know about breakfast or about the smaller rooms in the main building that I had read about. Looks like rooms vary greatly there.
