The noise from upstairs was unbearable. I am sure the guests above me was not trying to make noise the whole night but once they walk, the floor made quite a bit of noise. Since the reception is not 24 hours and you cannot even raise the problem with them.

Super clean and warm. Not far from the citadel and other land marks. Easy walking distance to great food shopping and winter activities. Host was super friendly and attentive, would stay here again.

This property was in the perfect area of Quebec City. We could walk almost anywhere we wanted to go. The price was good. It was quiet and we really didn't see anyone else at all including staff. Everything that was needed was there and provided to us. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone who wants to be in a popular area but wants a more reasonable price point.

Amazing location
Location and price are the reason to book here. This is my second time staying. Could use some updates, and a bit of a deep clean, but otherwise quite comfortable. Extremely quiet at night. There was a fan unit in the room but we were not able to get it to work for airflow/white noise. The "front desk" also only seems to have part time coverage, so you'd need to know the city or have a means of looking stuff up, as there likely would not be anyone available for asking questions.

Strengths: The location is great - very close to the river, the funicular, the Christmas Market, and has a view of the Hotel Frontenac. Our room was warm and toasty, and the beds were quite comfortable. The stay was quite affordable. Weaknesses: The property is pretty shabby. Our room was spacious but sad. The bathroom left a lot to be desired. The hotel doesn't offer a breakfast option, and it was a bit of a walk to coffee and a croissant during our snowy, windy, freezing December stay. Perhaps it would be fine in warmer weather.

This small boutique hotel is located very conveniently for walking to all attractions, but it is best to arrive by public transit in busy times like Christmas, as there is no parking for vehicles. We drove around fruitlessly for 35 minutes as all parking lots were completely full. Park elsewhere and arrive by cab.

This property was a great place to stay, only two short blocks from fabulous shopping and delicious restaurants. Everything was in walking distance from this property. Property manager Alex was fabulous and was very helpful and immediately responsive to our needs. I would definitely stay again!

I was placed in a basement room. Basic, cannot see outside. Hot shower--a plus. Steep stairs to go up and down to the basement. The hotel personnel were nice and attentive. The Quebec attractions were close by. Awesome place to visit. The Quebec tours were great. I was just expecting a hotel room with windows to view outside.

The only reason the hotel got a good instead of excellent was the lack of an elevator. My wife and I have mobility problems and going up and down stairs is a problem. Great experience otherwise.

Fantastic old town feel in the backyard of the Frontenac. One block to the boardwalk and from there, anywhere. Beautiful decor and supper friendly staff.

Super location. Nice helpful staff. It's an older facility so don't expect new tile or bathroom fixtures however it was clean, the bed was comfortable and everything worked. A good budget hotel central in old town.

The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff member who worked at reception was friendly and courteous. The bathroom was tiny, shabby, and poorly ventilated, so the tile grout was very stained with mildew. As well, it was nearly impossible to regulate the water temperature in the shower, and it alternated between scalsing and freezing without warning. Otherwise, we had a very pleasant stay.

A very nice, well-priced hotel close to everything in old Quebec City. The Hotel lets you feel the history of the hotel. The room was good sized, but the bathroom was small would be my only negative but that wasn't an issue. Enjoyed my stay

Fantastic location in the old city. This is the only thing that saves this site. Issues - mould in coffee maker reservoir and on bathroom tile grout - electrical wiring is dangerous …. Plugs fall out of outlets and multiple extensions and wires joined by electrical tape - no fire escape from upper floor

Location, Location, Location.
Location is absolutely perfect. Literally 5 mins away from everything. Exceptionally clean and very hospitable staff. We had a 2 room, sort of apartment with two double beds, TV, mini fridge, a Nespresso machine and a kettle. It is about a 2 min walk to the Plains Of Abraham. Situated in a very old house, so some things are a little run down, shower is very small, but it does the job. Only downside was that our rooms were on the street with a door that leads out onto the road. I think as two women we would have preferred staying inside the hotel itself. The front door did not seem all that secure to me either. You do notice a slight smell of mold when you enter the room, but it soon dissipates after a few days. Overall a great place to stay. I do wish they had more bolts on the exit door though.

For the price, you are paying for location, location. You are minutes from chateau Frontenac. The room was spacious enough with a view of a wall. The bathroom needs repairs. No water pressure. Trying to take a shower, water was coming mostly out of the spout instead of the shower head.

We stayed one night and slept very well. I travel to Quebec City very often but had never tried any if the smaller hotels close to the Chateau. I expected some noise as we had to sleep early but was very pleasantly surprised as there was none, even on a lovely Saturday evening. We did not meet the hosts in person as we arrived later and left early, but comminations were great, and both check-in and check-out were easy and hassle-free. The only reservation has to do with the room, and mostly the washroom. Unsurprisingly the building is quite old, but it does need renovations. Exterior is nice and hallways are perfectly good. However, decoration of the room is dated - i can live with that easily - and, perhaps more annoyingly, the washroom was not as good as expected. Caulking especially needs to be redone as major discoloration from humidity does not inspire confidence. Great location, efficient hosts, clean building and beds, but renovations to washroom imperative as ours was not to an acceptable standard. We had a reasonably good stay but for that reason, and given price, i will look at other options next time.

Our room needed a little TLC. The fridge was so noisy, I had to unplug it. We could not get tv to work properly. Bathroom amenities could have been nicer. Bottom sheet on bed was not tucked in and kept sliding around when we moved. View out window was amazing!
