Parking was not inclusive - no information on this. No one to check out to - even though it was 8am, office was supposed to be manned at 7.30am. Not clear signs at parking area where to access hotel. Check in process was lengthy and painful despite booking online.

It’s an old hotel with a lot of character and charm. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The room I was given is in need of refurbishment. There were stains on the carpet that no amount of cleaning will remove. The armchair had grubby upholstery and there was no coffee table on which to place a cup or glass (I had to use an upturned waste paper basket). The drapes were hanging off their hooks. To my surprise no cleaning service was provided on the second day of my stay. Nevertheless I enjoyed the room and the hotel itself. But improvements would be welcome.
