Our room was non-smoking, but through the bathroom air ducts came a strong smell of tobacco from other rooms, and as a consequence there was an unpleasant smell in the room. The management of the restaurant is not at the level of a hotel of this category: very limited selection and they did not have some of the already scarce choices. The rooms are quite large and very comfortable. The breakfast was varied and of good quality. The staff was friendly and particularly helpful. One of the managers went out of his way to help us with travel arrangements to our next destination (Chengde).
