This was a great hotel for a transit through Qingdao. We had a long layover over night and just wanted a place to sleep/shower/eat. This hotel is really nice, and an especially good value. I would stay here again if I happen to pass through Qingdao

Wyndham Qingdao you’ve been a great.
Everything was great especially the staff. I’ve been staying there for 12 years even when it was a Double Tree - always has been great. Sadly probably my last stay there since the airport will be moving.

Absolutely loved this hotel! During my 10 day trip to China, I spent 4 nights (total) in a king suite at this wonderful property... 3 at the beginning and 1 at the end. I enjoyed the amenities and the service here much more than I did at The Westin on the Bund in Shanghai. My experience at the Wyndham was superior in every way! The staff was incredible, the breakfast was delicious, and the grounds are breathtaking. When I am in Qingdao, I wouldn’t consider staying any where else.

The Wyndham overall was nice with nice rooms but the service it lack of was annoying. I understand the language barrier issue but the total lack of professionalism really ruins the 4 star rating.

Layover stay In QingDao
Dear San Franciscan, Thos hotel is located in the outskirts of town, I arrived greeted by light snowfall, cold winter at 7.30 pm. We are to leave in the afternoon the next day and there was nothing much to see nearby once it got dark, so we decided to stay in to enjoy the hotel. The room has received major updates so it is wonderful. Awesome water pressure! Clean facility! We had the AYCE hot pot dinner, it was good! They only have one kind of beef sliced. A Live music band played during our dinner. We didn’t get to try their complimentary free spa access, but if you do, try to make it before they closed. Staff speaks sufficient English.

Terrible customer service. I simply wanted the hotel to cancel our reservation so I could rebook it on a different account, and they were completely unwilling to accommodate (called hotels.com to have them try to no avail as well). Also, the location is nowhere near the city center or any train stations so not sure why anyone would stay here in the first place.

Excellent facility a long way from the action. The Wyndham Qingdao is a very large conference/business class hotel with a lovely large garden, helpful staff, and good gym facilities. Clean large room with fridge, relatively comfortable beds (firm yes but not Chinese board style mattresses), and club level includes nightly fruit plate/other snack item. Free airport shuttle was great. Mini-Stop for snacks and Korean restaurant inside hotel, afternoon tea available in lobby bar. However, getting to the beach/aquarium/parks means either an expensive taxi each way (make sure you have the name in Chinese for the return trip) or a taxi to the Metro and back.

Wish I can stay for more days
Excellent stay with such good rate. Comfortable beds and surprisingly complimentary hot bath, steaming room, swimming facilities. The only downside is you need a swimming cap to swim in the pool.

3 nights stay. Quite a range of facility available. Nice service from front desk. Tried the bathhouse facilities and body scrub, not bad, but note they are payable services. Clean. A few minutes walk to one shopping mall.

Ok for short business stays
Hotel very clean and desk and bell staff are all over the service aspects ...serious departure in service level in breakfast restaurant... I realize I am in a Chinese speaking environment so I can't be overly critical - but if the Wyndham wishes to court westerners the ought to focus on making the experience eating on site more enjoyable. A west coast guy needs his coffee ... as I travel extensively in China at many US based hotel properties- I know it is possible to " up the game". This property continues to miss the mark on that behalf.

So nice, we stayed twice in two weeks
I stayed here after picking up my parents from TAO and it was so great we also stayed at this hotel the night before the flight departed. Service is great, enough bilingual staff on hand for even the non-Chinese speakers in our party. Breakfast was perhaps the biggest surprise. For 60 RMB, I was expecting a normal hotel breakfast but this meal was far reaching! If I need to return to Qingdao and require use of the airport, I would strongly suggest staying at this hotel. Only drawback is it is far from the city-center.

Chengyang's Best
Great Hotel in Chengyang,Qingdao. Less than 7~8 mins away from TAO Qingdao airport when there is no traffic. The Hotel has 24 hours (that is right) full capacity Sauna (or Spa) & Bath house in the basement. Wyndham provides 1 single entry to the spa and that w as awesome. A full body massage varies from 20~80 USD. Breakfast buffet is very well organized with variety of selections, however, I noticed that they play music too loud. And most of the songs were fast tempo Chinese songs. In a nutshell, I give 5 stars for 1) cleanness of guest room, 2) nice amenities, 3) 24 hour spa, 4) location.

Great stay!
My wife and I traveled to this city when we first met, and stayed at this hotel. It was an amazing experience. The hotel gave us a free upgrade, and the staff were so nice. They spoke English and had an amazing continental breakfast and buffet. The entertainment available was also very nice.

Top hotel is business
is very close to airport, this was a great hotel good wifi, pool, spa and restaurants. very much a business hotel. will make it my preferred hotel for my trips to qingdao.

Another visit
Good hotel (I stay here 5-6 times a year) except you cannot control room temperature which is set by the hotel. Room was stuffy. I asked about adjusting room and was told that it could not be done

Nice hotel and gardens - sauna process strange
One minor flaw in the hotel process. If you go downstairs, through the spa, past the pool and to the sauna, the exit is not the same route. The sauna process forced me to exit the hotel outside around the corner from the main entrance and walk a few hundred steps outside. Not really a comfortable exit after a sauna. All I could think about is what if it is rainy or really cold. Something the hotel should change. They should permit an indoor exit from the sauna the same way I entered. This is not even mentioning the lack of English signs throughout the confusing process.
