We had a great stay...everything up to the standard you'd expect from a Shangri-La property. The staff were very helpful and really went out of their way to get us settled in. The hotel is right by the May 4th Square metro station, so easy access to the city as well as Qingdao Railway Station. The MixC shopping mall is across the street so very convenient as well. The breakfast buffet was excellent, full range of Western and Chinese dishes.

There are two buildings(old and new). You need to pay ¥350 to upgrade to the new building, but it’s worth it. Breakfast buffet is excellent!

It was a disappointing stay because the rooms are stinky. Changed rooms twice, but still couldn’t stand the odors. Eventually had to leave early. The staff are however super nice and professional. Restaurants are superb too.

The Cleaning Staff should be commended as should the front Desk staff and its manager York as they all were very attentive to my needs.. Loved the Spa and its services along with the pool! A total enjoyable stay..

5th time and not disappointed.
Was staying there for the 5th time. Most of the times in the new building. Clean, comfortable and in a very good condition. Staff is very friendly. Loved the standard.

Excellent Valley Wing of Shangri-La Qingdao
Superb hotel. Great service with a smile. Excellent location next to a shopping mall. Close to May 4th Square and the bay. Valley wing is the newer addition to the venerable Shangri-La Qingdao.

Pleasant stay with QingDao Shangri-la. Location is very good with easy access transportation i.e. subway etc and a pretty shopping mall round the around. All staff are friendly and helpful which I would recommendation to others.

Small toilet but great hotel
Moved to this hotel after staying in a much worse hotel just down the street. I was so very pleased to be welcomed into a far more comfortable room. Hotel was clean, nice restraint, very close to a huge shopping mall with good food. It wasn’t the most up to date room but it was very comfortable. I will day one thing that may be strange. The toilets were unusually small. I’ll leave the rest to the imagination
