Very friendly and helpful staff in a fine establishment. It is an older place with the usual bumps and dents, but very clean and kept well. Great value. Staff were all wonderful, and cheap breakfast with fresh bread and croissant was very welcome. Room was very warm, but an open window helped once it cooled outside. Located on a quiet side street close to the centre ville, which worked great.

A short sleep over at Pau prior to an early flight
I was on my return from working six months for The Sanctuary of Lourdes. The stay was good, the breakfast perfect, the room slthough small, perfect. Nonetheless I do have some comments. I had booked this hotel as it said 24 hs reception, and security is sth I give priority to. What one has, is a phone to talk to sb. in case you have any need. You book yourself in. The building is old although the room, small but in good state. The stove in the bathroom. wasn’t working and it was cold. All this would be absolutely fine if the price was in accordance. It is a hotel in my humble review worth not more than Euros 50 a night. The gentleman at breakfast was very kind. The breakfast delucious, paid separately. I was able to book a taxi the day before through this “reception phone” although the price was different to what I had been told as it was a holiday.

Good position friendly staff but the place is old and dirty, very small, the shower isn’t actually connected!

Hello, further to your stay, we can't understand how you can say it is dirty. All our rooms are cleaned and verified each day. The bath and showers work perfectly and if you had a problem, why didn't you ask somme help at the front desk?? Our customers reviews are very good and for your information, the carpets of the corridors are brand new. And if you want some bigger room, you have the choice of many room categorie at your reservation. We have very large rooms...but the price is not the cheapest you choose. Regards

Good Central location.
Perfect position in the centre of the town. Small room but OK for an overnight stay. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby but in a quiet street. Parking free with a disabled badge overnight in the nearby street. Large underground parking 100 m away.

Best location, great wifi, wonderful hosts
Second time at this hotel - run by a lovely family, very clean, comfy, with a wonderful breakfast. No car traffic on the street, so it is not very loud, even though the location is so central for any visitor to Pau. Wifi works impeccably, so all of us could work in our room with no problems.

Excellent value for the cost. Smallish space but clean, well located, and extremely helpful staff. Would happily return.

The couple who run the hotel were nice and helpful, and the location was good. Do not stay on the fourth floor. The lift only goes to three. The air conditioning barely worked and there seemed to be no insulation under the roof. The hotel is hard to find and access by car, because roads are often blocked.

The room on the fourth floor is the biggest one in the hotel and the much more liked by our customers...And we agree a few street were closed during summer because of work road...if you want to complain about that, contact city hall services...we can't do anything like others hotels about it. Comfortable for a short mid-week stay
Pleasant and helpful, English speaking staff at reception. Room a little tired e.g. chips on bath, although clean. Buffet style breakfast, no cooked options but perfectly adequate although the dining room was a little soul-less. The hotel is just off the main central square in Pau so very convenient for shops, restaurants etc. Walking distance to train station. I had a quiet stay (Wed to Friday in November) but I was warned the hotel is right next door to a night club that can get very noisy late at night and early in the morning.

Nice pleasant city centre hotel - In the pedestranised area so parking can be a little difficult, but is possible, there are undergroung car parks but many seem to be closed on Sunday.

Room needed decor update, but ok and surprisingly quiet. However, we were at the top (4th) floor and people with heavy bags may struggle since the lift only went to the 3rd floor. Good location fairly close to both the city car parks. Only ethernet internet connection and reception will lend you a cable. A bit annoying having to hand in/ request the key every time we left/ returned to the hotel.

Great location and thats all
Room was so very different from advertised photos i find it hard to believe they were the same place. Reception staff were very good, as was the location. Otherwise there was nothing to recommend this hotel. We could not even get the tv to work. After 3 weeks travelling around Spain and France we voted this the worst accommodation.

Would use again.
Cheap and cheerful. Not great views from room, but right in the centre of town, clean linen, plenty of hot water. Also comfortable bed, and very quiet - no traffic noises. Pleasant stay.

Small hotel room - hard to find
The hotel is in central Pau and the rooms are small. Two people and two cases and the room was full. Hard to fine via Pau's one way system. Street cleaning made the night's sleep hard as well.

Hotel is very nice and conveniently located close to the main centre area. The lady on Reception was very helpful and spoke very good English. Rooms are very clean and in good decoration order. The whole street outside is currently being dug up but did not cause any issues. Pau is very small and easily able to walk to all locations of interest. There is no shuttle or public bus from the Airport so you have to relay on Taxis. OK going but ripped off getting back to the Airport.

Great no-frills hotel. Very good value
This is a really nice small hotel with very friendly staff. And the price I got through Expedia was excellent value. The room was small with limited storage space, but it was very clean and well-decorated. And (which we don't often find) breakfast was also good value - 7.99 euros for a buffet breakfast with a good choice of foods. Access to the hotel is up a steepish set of stairs which might be a problem for wheel chair access for example. The location is excellent, near the main shops and only 5 or 10 minutes walk to the chateau and the old centre.

Simple basic 2* hotel, OK, but don't even think of driving yourself there
Simple basic hotel, room Ok though quite small. Only problem was driving there. Google maps and directions hadn't caught up with the city centre being exrensively pedestrianised, so a nightmare driving round one way sytems always ending at the same spot and impossible ot get near the hotel. Use a taxi instead!!

Ruim, manutenção pessima. Tudo muito velho Quarto falava em cama queen e não tinha. Ar condicionado velho. Tudo muito ruim. Elevador até o 3 andar, o reto tivemos que subir pela escada

Pour visiter Pau
Hôtel très bien situé en plein centre-ville, Une bonne option pour visiter celle-ci. Un peu bruyant en début de soirée mais calme pendant la nuit. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Salle d’eau vieillissante.

hotel 2 étoiles. il n'y a pas un grand confort mais ça reste correct. chambre relativement propre (un peu vétuste notamment la douche). personnel tres accueillant par contre. la climatisation a bien marché cette fois, ce qui n'était pas le cas lors du précédent séjour dans une autre chambre.

chambre dans l'ensemble propre, il y avait cependant 2 toile d'araignée en haut des murs, que nous avons signalé mais le lendemain ce n'était toujours pas nettoyé. à part ces 2 toiles d'araignée la chambre nous a semblé grossomodo propre. dans le lit se trouve des coussins par contre qui ne sont pas protégés par des taie d'oreiller, et ils ne sont pas changés d'un client à l'autre donc leur propreté peut ne pas être top.

Nous avons pris néanmoins bonne note de votre commentaire. Et sommes heureux de savoir que qui que vous soyez, vous avez grosso-modo apprécié votre séjour. Et pour votre information, les coussins sur le lit sont des éléments de décorations et non pas des oreillers qui sont eux, pourvus de taies et changés tous les jours!!!! Salutations
