"Internet connection was too weak to use in the room. Even though the website stated they had an iron and ironing board, when I requested this the staff said "we used to have one, but it's gone now." Only one in the whole hotel? Also, for the deposit, the staff charged me 200rmb on my credit card, rather than simply placing a hold. This is mildly annoying as now I have to wait a week or two for the charges to be reversed. "

"It's okay for a quick stop over, especially if you plan to be out and about for the whole day and only plan on sleeping. The smell of damp does get a bit nauseating at times. On the plus side, the bund and a lot of other attractions are a short walk away. "

"Actually, I was shocked by the fact that they allowed people come in and sent the special service card through the door of each room every other day, especially when the guy was pushing the door open twice to give way for the card to stuff in, that was quite shocking for a woman traveling alone."

"We've stayed at a couple of different Jinjiangs on Changing Road and this one is better than the other. The rooms are very clean and the staff very accommodating (its seems like many even speak some English). They have pretty fast wired internet which is nice given how slow it is in most budget hotels in China. The beds are very comfortable by Chinese standards. "Booked this hotel because it was close to Xujiahui metro station. It was easy to find and though there were some questions regarding check-in all was sorted. Room was simple and clean, was just there for a sleep then off the the metro early the next morning. "
