1St Time All Inclusive Experience

Being my first visit to the island, I did not plan accordingly. Did not anticipate seclusion of the property. No easy access to the city. 99% of guests were all European. My being Black, I did not find the atmosphere too friendly. (Even had one unfriendly encounter with a German fellow; 1/2 my age, twice my size, & rude)! Also, quality of the food at 2 seperate meals was not worth it. (Even though it was inclusive. Cocktails too were sub-par, as none were premium brands). Facilities are nice, & staff very pleasant, but experience needed to be supplemented with other activities/interests.

Stunning hotel right on the beach

Me and my cousins took a week long girls trip to the DE in July for my birthday, it was the best vacation of my life. All the staff is super friendly they make you feel like family. Pablo our bartender was fantastic made the perfect drinks. The hotel was clean and the food was amazing. The beach was clean and beautiful! It's an experience I will never forget it felt like home, and We will be going back in January for TWO WEEKS! can't wait

Got food poisoning, terrible staff

Got food poisoning at this resort, and had to be sent to the emergency room outside the resort which cost over $800. The hotel staff didn't check on us or offer any reimbursement for the expense at the emergency room. When we tried to ask for reimbursement, they said they wouldn't be able to and didn't even apologize for what had happened. Had to got o the emergency room again once we arrived in NY and the results were the same as in DR, it was a stomach bug gotten from food or water at the resort. We did not go outside the resort, so it wasn't anything from outside. We sent the doctor reports over to the hotel to prove to them that it was from the food consumed there and they still said they will not be able to reimburse anything back. The staff was unapologetic about what had happened. This was a terrible experience, we went on vacation to relax and enjoy, and ended up sick, and spending a lot more money. I would not recommend anyone staying here.

Needs Updating

Pros: Most hotel staff were friendly
Cons: facilities , bar, food, wifi (there is none at all only in the lobby)
It was just OK not a place to return too. Staff was friendly. The entire hotel needs upgrading and or updating. Food was just ok, the bar and drink selection was bad and watered down. Good for families on a budget.

Old facilities

This resort is very old and needs a major update. We were in the Cayena part which is supposed to be their VIP members only part. Despite this, the room was very musty and decrepid. The food was ok nothing to rave about. They use very cheap liquor everywhere in the property (sports bar, lobby, the disco etc) except the Cayena part where they serve national drinks. So you could only drink a half decent cocktail if you stay in the Cayena part of the property The only bright spot was the pool and some of their staff. I cannot stress how you should stay away.

The staff has the most disgusting attitude. Unhelpful and everything is NO before you even ask. Internet not available. Cable TV only in Spanish and terrible image. DO NOT STAY THERE. They are ambitious liars who did not deliver as advertised

Just came from punta cana ,i am not first time in dominican republic but this hotel is the bad one ,only what is good is the beach the rest of the stuff is terrable no service at all , no internet at the room only at the hall and many other bad thinks ,maybe for other people it is resonable but not for the americans
