So my experience at the ocean blue sand resort was terrible. I would rate this hotel about two stars instead of a four. Due to me booking with Expedia I was told the room that I book I was not allowed to get. They told me that I booked a different room when I knew I didn’t. I showed them my paperwork and they denied me the room that I that I paid for, this was very frustrating for me and I basically asked to speak to manager. Once the manager arrive, I showed her the room that I booked and she basically tried to tell me that that wasn’t a room that I booked due to booking through with Expedia she told me that that was a privilege room and she would try to do her best to accommodate me Due to the hotel being fully booked. This was also not true. There were not a lot of people at the hotel, and I was really pissed off by the time we got to the privilege room the room looked very outdated. It smelled of mildew, and everything in the room was broken. they gave me a room with two beds when it was me and my husband I was furious. The balcony door was broken. Our front door where they put the key. And the tv was broken so.by this point I was over this hotel. The staff was very rude. No one wanted to help us because they go by the color of your band if you have a green band which is considered not privilege, the staff will treat you like crap. They only cater to the privileged, guess only. Overall this was the trip from hell would not recommend.

Sandy beach, amazing ocean. Entertainment team was awesome, lots of daily activities and shows. Food was amazing with 7 different restaurants options. Staffe was supper friendly. Room was cleaned daily. Staff was supper nice and accomodating. I HAD the best vacation ever. Thank you very much !!!

I loved everything about the property. The only thing I didn't like were some of their employees would make making inappropriate gestures and comments. One employee tried to get me to invite him into my room. Even after I told him that I was married. His comment in return was that my husband didn't need to know. It made me feel uncomfortable and at times tried everything to avoid some of these guys.

I liked the beach a lot. Very quiet and peaceful . The food is average but overall the resort is good. They just need better service and the promotion people for privilege to stop trying to sell you the time share. Don’t accept a talk with the privilege club as it is a waist of time and they will try to trick you into signing in.

This property needs updating. Also, breakfast ends at 10:30am, after that you can only get coffee, donuts, etc. Staff is rude, especially Juan who works the front desk on the evening shift. You can’t get a cup of hot water at 11:00pm for tea. In addition, we paid for the premium package which means you are suppose to be transported to and from your room on the Privilege shuttles. One of the workers refused to transport us until another employee made him. Mary and Timothy were the best employees there. I travel a lot but I won’t ever go back to This resort. A hot mess that’s what it is!

It was my first time at Ocean Blue. I like the environment, entertainment and staff attention. The food was not that great and the restaurant could not handle the amount of people that would like to have reservation throughout the week. The waiting time was too long for those who have children with them. I like the bars and the space is well kept and pretty. Not too many golf cars to go around unless you have a privilege's membership. The disco was great with nice lights and music. Activities at the pool, the main lobby and surrounding areas were great. I had fun.

All staff cares about is to sign you up for their timeshare, room service takes for ever, they make excuses to not provide you with fresh towels and clean your room daily ( they stated I had a do not disturb sign on my door handle) when I always had it inside the room.

The property and the people who worked there are absolutely amazing . We did have some trouble when they changed the key reader on our door . Very frustrating! I found this property serves minors which I found very concerning .

The property was better looking and cleaner than the room we stayed in. It smelt like mold or something wet with flies/nats in the room and at the door. We couldn’t make reservations to the sushi restaurant, because the guest who stayed in the privileged rooms took up most of the reservations. If I plan on coming back to DR, this resort won’t be first on my list.

Property is beautiful . Only 6 options to eat for an all inclusive property is crazy . They told me you didn't reservations for 4 of them that was incorrect people walked up with reservations and I had to wait an hour & a half for food. Most food places are crowded after 7 with a minimum wait time of 30 minutes . Pool closed at 6 . I would not come back

Service was questionable, seemed understaffed. Concierge was there only to sell you into their vacation club, but could not be counted on the help otherwise. Facilities, especially pools not in the greatest of shape of the cleanest. Food has so-so, some good things, some things to be desired. Beautiful beach, pleasant, not overly crowded during spring break season.

This is my 2nd time here and I am planning for the 3rd. I love it. Staff is great! They all are so friendly and will make your stay so welcoming. Pokemon is our all time favorite, but we did meet some newer staff members that weren’t here our last stay and they are great as well. I would highly recommend this resort

This was by our worse vacation ever! The rudest staff I have ever met, unsafe room broken handle that looks like someone tried to break in. When confronting management was told oh well do you want to come back and we will treat you better! No compassion for anything. A smile goes a long way. Save your money and PLEASE choose a different resort.

Overall nice property and food was very good-lots of choices. Everything run pretty well. Right at the beach which is what i was looking for. Huge pools are wonderful I personally didnt care for the loud music that passes as entertainment at the pool in the afternoon but you can move farther away from it if you can find another lounger-which may be a problem because the facility ask that people not hoard the loungers and save them with their towels -but good luck with that. But other then that and a few other small things-throughly enjoyed our stay at Ocean Blue

Wasted hours on not wanting to join H10. String you along with promise of gift. The food was good at steak house and Hibachi. Route 66 was not good at all. Butler was never around but I didn’t mind. The boogie excursion was a blast. the trip to Saona island was a long boring day. The beach is still in good condition overall trip it was ok. I wouldn’t come back. The entertainment crew is what makes this place. Everywhere off the resort people will come asking for money or try and sell you something. It becomes too much after a few days of constantly being asked. Beautiful place but wouldn’t do this to myself again.

The resorts itself is beautiful with many amenities, however, if you’re not a member of the H hotels be prepared to get harass to an “almost” obligatory breakfast so they can try to sell you their Privilege program. When I arrived, I was assigned my room, I had paid for a king size bed, but after checking my assigned room it was occupied. I was later given a 2 full size bedroom. I was also denied access to beach towels because I did not have the “towel card”, no one at the reception explained that I needed one. I had to lay in the beach beds without a towel! Additionally, many of the butlers are very flirtatious, I was traveling alone, and they would not stop “cat calling me” and asking for if I had a WhatsApp number. Also, if by accident you step into the Privilege area be ready to get “almost” yelled at by the butlers in front of everyone instead of asking kindlyto leave that area. Lastly, make sure you make reservations early for the restaurants as they get very full and the wait time is about 30/40 minutes. Overall, it’s a beautiful place and the cleanliness is excellent.
