It was decent hotel with a beautiful beach

The beach was the best part about this stay. Very clean beach. Pools were nice too. The food was not very good. Only had one very good dinner, everywhere else, my friends and I would hit the buffet afterwards. Not all the restaurants are opened every night so limited restaurants with limited times available. We heard good things about the Mexican restaurant but it was never opened while we were there, so that was disappointing. Alcohol choice was also disappointing. Only had one type of beer...everything was made with one mix. Only had about two decent drinks the entire time. 95% of the staff do not understand any English, so very difficult to communicate with them (at dinner, at the front desk, anywhere). When we first arrived it took a very long time to check in. There was no kind of line and it was more of a cluster of 20 people all trying to be helped. The room we booked isn't what we got (we booked two queens and got one king. When we called the front desk to say it was wrong they said they'd have someone come to take the bed apart to make it into two,..we checked and it was only one bed with one headboard. So we had to go to the front desk and after asking for a manager we were told there is none. Finally after about an hour we got switched to a room with two queens with an ocean view. All-in-all my group made the best of our stay, so we still had a fun time, but things could have been a lot better. The beach again was beautiful and really made the trip worth i

Pros: proximity to the beach
Cons: complete renovation
Bed was so old you sink when you lay on the bed. Also bathroom was so out of date and floods. stain on the bed cover.

Nice Enough Resort Poor Poor Service

Pros: The beach
Cons: Customer service and the check in and check out process. The ability to get towels and to get your room cleaned daily. So many things meed improvement
Location: About 25 minutes drive from the Punta Cana airport. We only went to the beach and remained on the resort property.
The place is nice and the beach is the absolute best. The food was just okay and the staff was nice. But the overall customer service experience is really bad. The check in process still remains unbelievable to me. The wait to get a room key was nothing short of 5 hours!! There were several other people during our stay and everyone had something to complain about.

Great Beach, Lots of Activities

Pros: Beach view, lots of things included for all ages.
Cons: The FOOD. The A La Carte restaurants were decent, but the main buffet and night snack bar were not great.
It was a nice stay, relaxing, and we didn't even leave the resort. Staff was friendly. While the main restaurant was nice, I thought the food could use a lot of improvement in terms of flavor. Also, they were lacking in terms of food for after-hours.

Decent hotel, gorgeous beach

Pros: Buffet, bars, BEACH!
Cons: Hotel needs to hire more staff and pay them more, maybe then they won't look like their workplace is the last place they'd rather be.
Location: Without buses coming and going to other hotels, we felt a little trapped there. Schedule plenty of excursions or you'll go crazy.
Really nice grounds, beautiful beach, didn't have trouble with our room. The staff... is hit and miss. Definitely over-worked staff that is mostly too exhausted for pleasantries. Awful line at the front desk. Advice for the travelers -- avoid going to the front desk! Use Guest Services whenever possible -- internet setup, room key issues, etc. The buffet was great, restaurants weren't bad either, bars were awesome. We were never hungry or thirsty. Thank you to all the staff who tried to make us feel welcome! Overall, not a bad stay. IMPORTANT -- this hotel does not provide shuttle/bus services to nearby shopping centers, like most other hotels, you can get transportation but they just take you to an obscure little shop with over-priced stuff, not to a market.

Pros: The facilities, the beach and the sea. One of the pools was great.
Cons: Client service must improve. The location of the bars is terrible.
Location: I did not go out.
This is my honest and unbiased opinion. On my first day, there was a fight in one of the pools with very drunk people and I believe that this is a common issue based on other reviews. No one showed up to stop the fighting. the problem is that there is a bar within the pool and this makes many people to get drunk as it is very easy to have drinks within the pool. NOT recomendable for families or children, only for drunk teenagers. There is another pool that it is more familiar on the other side of the hotel. One of the big problems of this hotel is that there are 2 bars located at both sides of the reception. That is too bad because they are in the same direction of most of the rooms which makes it a very noisy hotel. There are also people playing saxophone until 11pm each night beside the bars which makes the noise even worse. As for my room, it was located beside a noisy ice-maker machine and it was very unpleasant. Due to the noisy issues, I asked for a room change but it never happened. Too bad from client service not to change it (4224). Another issue is that the elevator was not working. It was never fixed in my 9 days stay. Another thing I did not like is that Central, South American, Russians, et were located on one side of the hotel. North Americans and Europeans were located on the best parts of the hotel where the elevators were functioning.TOO BAD. Buffet is normal. A la carte food was much better. Beach and sea were great. A quiet room might change the experience

The place is beautiful but the food not so much

The toilet was broke the sliding door didn't lock the ceiling bathroom was leaking they charge me for Wi-Fi there was fly all over the food I had to call service so they can bring water to my room otherwise they don't come definitely I will never go back to that one

I had fun

I thought the hotel itself was beautiful but I wish the room was cleaner. When I arrived into the room, our mini bar was basically empty and we had no towels and the bed sheets had stains on them. Other than that, everything else was good. I noticed that if you leave a tip for the staff, they'll remember you and treat you better. The food was great. I recommend the Dominican food restaurant and Italian one. The pool was wonderful and the beach was just breath taking.

Nice beach but that's all it has going for it ! The room walls are so thin , We had a crying baby on one side , and a couple on the other side with loud music and a alarm that would not stop at 6 am ! No towels ever, called down every time to get them and the front desk was so mobbed with check in people they ever answered the phone !! So needless to say no towels . I have been to the Dominican Republic 5 other times and have stayed At other resorts , so much nicer than this one , like the resort next to this one hint !! The food was ok , way to busy buffet !! No tables !! Crazy and disorganized. I usually do not write about my experiences because they r always wonderful . This resort was not my favorite, and did nothing by far to impress me. It does have a pretty part of the beach but so does a few resorts that are around it !! If you plan on sleeping and have loud neighbors forget it !! You hear everything !!! As for the excursions #1zip lining Canopy is the company' great tour !! Awesome fun !! And the lobster snorkeling tour to the island fun !! Dominican Republic is beautiful! But don't stay at this resort .
