I was staying with cockroaches in the room 5days.

Pros: There are lots of carts for guests, but there are many things that can be dehydrated and stumbled. Especially regular guests or adult guests. also if
Cons: I hope restaurants and rooms will be cleaner.
The staff is all friendly. If you have a newborn baby, you should not go to this hotel. It is not a clean environment. There are lots of flies in the buffet restaurant. you should be careful.also Be aware if you smoke. $ 10 $ 8 $ 5 Depending on where the origin is, the value of the cigarette is wrong. If you want to buy a carton, buy it at the airport you return to.

Great location

I really liked the layout of the resort. The availability of the trolleys was great to get around. The food was mediocre at best, but this is what I expect for buffets. The drinks were great. Overall a nice place for a family vacation.

Decent hotel close to the beach

Decent hotel but hotel rooms leave some wanting and it's a solid resort but for the price and the different levels of all inclusive at the resort it's just not worth it. If you are thinking of here or speaking a little more the hard rock is completely worth the extra compared to this place. Holiday inn hotels have better rooms than the nice rooms here. It's a joke for over 300 a night at level.

A very good resort

Pros: good room, restaurants (Agora and Market place) were very good.
Cons: check in time is way too long (1 hour+) is not acceptable. also staff should be speaking English.
Location: NA
good amenities, with a kid zone. Food was totally satisfying. Staff is always pleasant.

Nice Resort

Meliá Caribe Tropical is a very nice resort. Generally adequate accommodations. Exception - getting to/from room to either beach or restaurant. I didn’t particularly care getting around the resort premises. Not for those with a handicap. However, excellent services were had. Exception one terrible service at one Italian restaurant!

First ever negative review I’ve wrote

It was terrible right from the beginning, I’ve never had such a bad experience like the one my family a myself had at this resort. Let’s begin by have a late check, we arrived at 2pm and didn’t get our till 5pm, ok we got past that cause wasn’t letting that ruin our trip. At dinner time, the first night when we went to get food at the buffet, the employee behind the counter with a fire lite sterno, accidentally dropped it and hitting my face, neck, arm and chest area. Luckily my fast action to remove it from me didn’t cause any burns. So we went on with our night, we went to our room around 12 or 1 when we smelled a burning smell. Well that smell was the a/c units motor burn. Now it’s night a time to sleep in a nice hot room cause the tech could not fix it at that time. The hotel never offered to move us. The next day the tech came in said he fixed but when night came nothing was fixed, it was still hot. That’s just a couple of the things that went on and still haven’t even talked about how unpleasant and no polite some of the staff were. So just in a nut shell, stay away.

Location: location is good next to a shopping mall
all the specialty restaurants had really great food that's why we have been back there 5 times and sent friends there who also have gone back

Our experience as a couple

Expect the staff to not speak great English. Some of the staff really did try though. We won free hibachi at the restaurant you have to pay for and it was a nightmare to get the melia money to go to dinner. We had booked reservations twice because the first night they didn't give us enough money. The second night, we got to dinner and they said they couldn't accept what we had. Eventually after about a half hour of calling around, they took it. Hibachi is worth the $45 per person, amazing! The American grill also had really good filet mignon! Our excursion got cancelled two days in a row, but we got our money back. The beach is nice, was not crystal blue water that you can see through though. Other than a few things, we had a great time!
