Overall I would give this resort a 3 out of 5.
Pros : We booked a junior suite (deluxe corner). The room made the trip. It was updated, very clean, and it was a huge space. The bed was firm but perfect for me and my husband. I slept amazing every night (and during the day for naps). The staff was nice enough but Bianca from the pool stood out to me. She was extremely nice and accommodating. We never had to worry about drinks when she was there. Portofino and MEAT were the only al la carte restaurants we could get into and they were both very good. The food at the buffet was surprisingly very good and very flavorful. It was the best tasting all inclusive food we've had to date.
Cons : If you don't make a reservation for the a la carte restaurants, you are left with the buffet or room service. On the app you can make your reservations up to 5 days before your arrival but for me it was hard to determine what I would want to eat before arriving. If you try to book the restaurants when you arrive, most are booked out for a few days. The room service menu was limited and was redundant after a couple of days but my biggest issue was that you couldn't order drinks with your room service and you are left to the limited options in your mini bar. I would have loved to have the option of a cranberry juice or something with my meal and it just wasn't an option.
Nothing about this placed screamed luxury either. It was just okay.
