The property for families was hugh and had lots of other resorts near by with "some amenities" you can use ,specifically pools and bars(liquor was not the greatest, but to be expected ,beer was ok, when you buy a presidente at an outside establishment it taste way better.We liked the beach but being from an island we were not there for the beach BIG Thank you to Jalin at reception , he was most helpful on assiting me with some request and was always pleasant and efficient. Eduar from concierge Villa 98 ,Thank you for helping my best friend with my birthday request and dinner reservations you did your best,despite all of the mix ups , Food was below average despite all the reviews that it was good.Choice resturants were not great, despite booking ahead communication between departments was poor.I celebrated my birthday and my family set up some suprises for me (at a fee) and they still got it wrong , decorated my friends room door with "Happy Birthday" and a day earlier than my actual birthday.My family sent champagne and a sweet treat to my room which should of been on my Birthday I received it 2 days before my birthday and no NOTE , I assumed it was from the hotel not by my friends & family which would of been nice to know so I can at least thank them. After having a somewhat decent birthday dinner at the "French resturant , the suprise birthday band was very cool. Over all Bahia Principe Fantasia was an ok resort.

The property needs some major renovation. The game center for teens roof is full of mildew and the shower drainer for our bathroom was coming off.....the check in/chwck out took forever.....the pool area had some mildew not sure if they pressure wash the place ....the lobby area needs some ventilation ....

My first impression of the hotel was how disorganized they were. The lobby was filled with people, and it took over an hour to get us a room even though we got there after 3pm. My family and I decided to take own luggage to our rooms because we didn't want to wait any longer. The family restroom by the buffet, had dead roaches, and it looked dirty in there. On day three of my stay, I was alone in my room, changing in the bathroom, when I heard my door open, a worker and a group of like 6 new guests were entering my room. I yelled "hello", and I heard the staff member say, oh, this room is taken. I was half naked, so I yelled to them to get out. I went straight to the front desk and told them what had happened. He apologized, deactivated all the bracelets to the room, then, my family of 4 had to reactivate it one by one. I expressed how unsafe I felt about that whole situation. I have a 12-year-old son, who at times went to the room on his own to nap. I didn't feel comfortable letting him do that anymore. I didn't feel comfortable being alone in my room anymore. The man in the lobby didn't care, all he could say was I'm sorry. Aside from all that. The pool side experience was really nice. The bartenders were friendly. The shows were fun to watch, my kids enjoyed it. The arcade was mostly broken, no air conditioner, the teen club was okay, my son didn't like it very much. The beach was filled with seaweed, but the water felt amazing.

The resort was very nice and clean. The staff were nice and friendly. This resort had a lot fun activities for the kids. However, the check-in was extremely slow and irritating. It was disorganized and displeasing. The pool was extremely warm and the walls were stained yellow. The buildings looked old and moldy.

I enjoyed this hotel with my family. Resort was very kid friendly and had excellent food options. The pools are nice a bit hot when its sunny all day but still enjoyable. One con about the resort would have to be the AC in the rooms. If they upgraded the rooms a bit as well. But overall we had a great stay. But I want to highlight some of the staff at Fantasia that gave the most excellent service and always went above and beyond to make sure my family was always happy and enjoying our stay. I want to give recognition to Juan who greets you when you arrive out of your taxi. Yeremy who was the one of the best waiters I had at the Circus restaraunt. Always helpful and making sure we enjoyed dinner every night. Genesis who is the waitress at the pool who always made sure I had drinks and very nice and courteous and Lastly Johanna from the entertainment team and Angelica another waitress at the pool. They made my stay one of the best vacations we had in a while.

We stayed at Bahia Principe Fantasia as a family of 5 (kids ages12,9,4). It’s important to know this particular resort is NOT directly on the beach. You will need to take a 3 min “train” (more like a trolley) through all the Bahia resorts on the shared property to get to the beach. Walking took us about 5 mins- kids weren’t fans. The resort itself is beautiful and well kept. Food is mediocre, except for the Italian and Greek restaurants which were delicious. They do seem to have a roach infestation as I saw around the facilities. The rooms were decent but lacked cleanliness! Bathrooms had mold and grime on grout in shower when we arrived, jetted tub was gross. The teens club has a serious black mold issue so be cautious when sending your little ones over (specifically the video game room). Wish they had more games to offer as it seemed underwhelming. Staff was nice and accommodating. Overall it was nice but I’ve seen better elsewhere.

We chose this property because it was supposed to be an Expedia VIP, nothing was offered. No room upgrade, no welcome drink, no spa discount. We had to wait three hours to get to our rooms after 3pm which is check in time. Staff was not friendly or even apologized. First room we were given was occupied! we had to go back to the lobby and three hours for our room which was overlooking the restaurant kitchen with smoke coming out all day. Not a good stay and the hotel staff did nothing to even try to accommodate us.

Ok, so my husband and I traveled w our kids- 10, 6, and 4 year olds. It was perfect for the price that we paid for Fantasia. The most important part. The kids had a blast. There is entertainment for the kids all day. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. The water park is a plus and you have access to other water parks at the resort. We were at a 5 min walk from beach, but you can take trolley as well, which comes around very often and that's a 2 min ride. The rooms were ok. No garbage bags in the trash bins... nothing impressive. The food was a hit or miss. With kids, the easiest is the buffet. There were many options, but we are spoiled with food from NY, so even the ketchup tasted somewhat weird. Download the app and pre book reservations of you want to go to one of the restaurants (Mexican, Brazilian, hibachi, Indian, Italian). I booked a week in advance and there were limited times. Needless to say, we mainly did buffet. It is HOT... bring a hat and sunblock. Also, Stanley or any tumblers are useful!!! Get your cups filled and keep them cold throughout the day... YOU will be a happy mom and dad!

I like the food, the staff were friendly and the water park was nice for the kids. The only thing that I didn't like was on my last day the staff on the entrance of the hotel didn't let my taxi come in to pick me up even though he show them the reservation number of my tranfer to the airport. I have to ask someone from the lobby to transport me and my family outside the hotel so we can get into our taxi. Other than that we like the hotel.
