We had made the booking for a deluxe room. The first night when we checked in the AC in our room leaked when we asleep! There was water on the floor. It disturbed our sleep. We were upset and infuriated. The next morning when we complained about it to the front desk staff and the manager. They were apologetic and moved us to another room, which was a upgrade and it was a suite. This room was very comfortable and all the amenities were functioning well. After this incidence, the rest of our stay was very good. The front desk staff, specially Mr. Shree and the manager, Mr. Harish were exceptional. They made sure that our stay was very comfortable. All the staff--room service, cleaning/maintenance, and restaurant staff were respectful, attended our needs quickly, and served us very well. GREAT SERVICE! The buffet breakfast had many items, plentiful, and was good quality including the local cuisines. After having the breakfast, we would skip the lunch! Although the location of the hotel in a business area near the railway station, the transportation was easily available and convenient. OVERALL, IT WAS A GREAT STAY WITH VERY GOOD SERVICE & STAFF. WE WILL STAY AGAIN THERE NEXT TIME! Our flight landed just after midnight, still they sent a free shuttle(sedan cab) for pickup. Very prompt and courteous. Room itself is decent. The hotel arranged for a driver (FOC) to pick me up from the airport, and were happy to arrange a return journey although I did not need one in the end. This was a great service and comfort as a solo female traveller. Rooms are clean and simple, with everything you would need for a short stay. The water heats up pretty quickly and the fan is sufficient (at least in June!) to keep the room a comfortable temperature. There was an air conditioner, but it may have needed servicing as a less-than-pleasant odor was emitted from it when on (hence my using the fan, but that was fine for me). Breakfast options are more than sufficient, with a mix of local and more Western foods available. I also had dinner one night there as I needed to pack and get ready for an early morning pick-up - food was great and service unobtrusive. While the location was great for my needs, it may not suit everyone, depending on just how central you wish to be. It was very easy to get a rickshaw (insist they use a meter!), and I managed to visit the Ganesh Temple, Iyengar Institute, Parvati Hill and other sights all at reasonable travel costs. The Darshan museum/experience is walking distance, provided you're confident with India's traffic and crossing the roads. From the hotel staff wanting to hold onto our passports during check-in, to the wifi passwords provided not working, to the hot water system not working, to the single set of towels provided even though the booking was for 2 people .... it was a very disappointing stay here. Fortunately we were only here for the night and arrived in the evening. The location was good, being walking distance from the station and we were able to find a decent restaurant nearby for dinner. Room was spacious, which I suppose is another positive. If you can't receive an SMS, you can't use the wifi. If so, there is a computer in the lobby with internet. However, I was unable to access any of my email addresses as the email providers thought my accounts were being hacked from India. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was large. Hot water was available after the hot water switch in the room was turned on for 15 min. Hotel service was friendly and breakfast included mainly Indian food and chai tea, coffee was served on request.
