"Staff was excellent! The room has a coffeemaker, but my wife is a tea drinker. She requested some teabags. The person at the front desk indicated they didn't have any. About 15 minutes later, we got a call back - he was at Meijer and wanted to know what type of tea she preferred and then delivered to the room...! Hotel is showing its age a bit, but we had a room with an updated bathroom, which was lovely. Great location for walking downtown and walking to beach/lighthouse."

"My husband & I were very impressed from the moment we checked into the HomeWood Suites in Holland Michigan. The grounds were very pretty and well kept. Walking into the lobby we could see out to the patio area and see the gas fire pits going with nice comfortable seating available. We were greeted with a welcoming smile & 2 complimentary bottles of water. There was coffee & tea available as well. Our room was very spacious and decorated nicely. The shower was large and we liked the size of the entire bathroom. We were pleasantly surprised by the nice sized island in the kitchen along with the full sized microwave, dishwasher, large apartment size fridge and 2 burner cooktop stove. If you're staying for an extended stay, there's plenty of storage and dishes, utensils, glasses and pots and pans are provided. The couch was okay. That would be the only thing I would give a negative mark on as it would not be comfortable for any period of time. Everyone is different when it comes to beds. We found it a bit hard for our liking but we are older and have aches and pains so we need something a bit softer. I think anyone else may find the bed just fine so I would not give negative marks for the bed. Breakfast was great! Omelettes, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, breakfast taco fixings, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruits, pastries, toppings for toast & drinks. No way you could go away hungry. We highly recommend this hotel! We'll definitely stay here again!"
