They were very nice about moving me to another smaller room, ok. AC, no fan. You can hear all conversations in the hall and rooms next door. Expensive at $60-70 for a private room! Restaurant and bar expensive too. But most people stayed in dorm rooms for $19 a night, a good deal. There was a party in Bocos, Panama, the weekend I was staying but the vibe was still cool, the Sunday when people were coming back it became straight away even more social which was a nice way to finish off my stay. The only downer for this place is that there’s no free coffee in the morning. The facilities are also alright, I’ve been to hostels with better/cleaner kitchen facilities but it was still alright. The restaurant /bar has a great location on the beach, including shaded areas to hang out in hammocks and on covered platforms. Food and drinks were great! Can’t beat the location. We rode hotel bikes along the Main Street to explore more sites. Staff (Alejandra) was very welcoming, energetic and helpful. We were so pleased with everything! Bonus: we had a brand new mattress as they are updating rooms. Lucky for me! 😁 It was very comfortable! Overall Quiet, comfy, and lovely! Wish we could have stayed longer. I’d gladly visit again! Different restaurants and a market not far. Playa 506 is directly on the beach which is great and it’s beautiful. Located near other hostels which is nice. Everything is walkable, or you can rent a bike, or scooters, or taxi. Bordering on rude. It was very noisy. The people above us sounded like they were coming through our floor. We took some friends to eat snacks and get 1 drink at the restaurant and it was outrageously expensive. We ate at Koki twice and it wasn't that expensive.
