Beautiful hotel on the beach. Staff is amazing.

Wonderful week in paradise. We have been coming here for years and love it. It is a beautiful resort with such a friendly, accommodating staff. The new taco/sushi bar is a great addition. We also love to walk up the beach and dine at the restaurants in Bucerias.

Family-friendly with very kind staff.

Pros: Staff was excellent--everybody was very warm and helpful. Beautiful grounds, excellent spa, and overall a great place to relax.
Cons: The room smell--it was too moldy and not what I would expect from a resort at this price-point.
Location: Bucerias is a nice little town with lots of dining options, although with our toddler we didn't get to spend too much time outside of the resort.
We recently travelled to Villa Del Palmar Flamingos with our two year old daughter. Overall it was a good experience, although there were some issues with our room that would make me think twice about going back. The good: Property is very family friendly. We were there with our young daughter and we found it to be a good mix of families and older folks. Wasn't much of a party scene, which is exactly what we were looking for. Landscaping is beautiful and you can't beat the view. I chose this hotel because I thought we would end up walking to Bucerias, but we were so comfortable we barely left. The spa is world class and definitely worth a visit (shout out to Rosalinda for the amazing massage!). Overall staff was very friendly--Margarita at the concierge desk helped a ton, our housekeeper Carolina was very attentive to our needs, and Jesus at the restaurant made us feel like royalty. I'm forgetting a bunch of people but those are the names that stick out. The bad: Property is somewhat isolated so you need to be prepared to take a taxi if you want to go shopping, eat out, etc. Also, there are only a few dining options onsite, so not a ton of variety to be found. The ugly: Like some other reviews, we found our room to smell very musky/moldy. The first room we checked into was so bad that we immediately turned around and headed back to the front desk. Ended up looking at 4 rooms total and they all smelled to some degree. This would probably keep me from returning.

The location was great

Pros: Beach view and right outside my room.
Cons: The selling of timeshares
Location: Everything was pretty much close to the location. Casino, Downtown, Shops and great food.
This location was great for my family. It had plenty to do. Kid friendly. The beach was right there and the pools were great! At night is was very quiet and peaceful.

Supposed to get VIP upgrades... didn't happen.

Pros: We liked pretty much everything except the service charge and the fact that we didn't know that was going to be part of the deal..
Cons: Make it clear that there is a "service charge" of 12.5%... people should know this up front.
Location: Kind of far away from everything... need a cab ride to anything...
Nice hotel... but... they charge for everything! They add a 12.5% "service charge" on to everything... we did not know that prior to our trip... not happy about that. After traveling and vacationing for years in Mexico and tipping freely, I have a hard time not tipping... so in essence it just adds to the total cost and is kinds of like legalized theft in my opinion. The hotel was just fine but, that was a real negative for us.

Great hotel as usual. Special shout out to Cassandra at guest services and Louis Guzman bell Capitan who went extra lengths to make our stay special. Love the hotel and entire Staff!.

Pleasent stay but..

The moment you land in the airport in puerta vellarta, u will fall in love with this country. We had an amazing stay at this resort. The view of the ocean was beautiful, and the beach was well maintained. They have a big bay with lots of mountains. The breakfast was good, and you can get an ocean view along with it. The staff were also very friendly. Although there were many good sides, there were a couple downsides. One downside is that we found a lizard in the room but it was harmless and the staff took care of it immediately. We were initially very frustrated with the check in process, we arrived around 12:30 and were told that our room is being cleaned and to check in one hour, unfortunately I checked with the registration 4 times and each time I was told to wait for 10 to 15 min, it took almost 3hours to clean the room and finally I was told that I will be getting a different room. I think this could have been done in much more professional effective way. Regardless of the above, which was the main. downside of the trip, I would strongly recommend this hotel, the rooms and the ocean view are amazing. I may come her again if they fix the checking in process.

Nice hotel close to the beach

It was a nice visit to La Flamingo. The hotel is very clean and very nice staff. The food is good within the restaurants. However, even though we booked all inclusive, there were several nice food items give only 40% discount and not included in the all inclusive package that we were not aware. The night shows are ok but not impressive. The pools are very clean and nice.

Beautiful hotel but encourages chair reserving

We have stayed here a couple times but not sure if we will again. All pool chairs are reserved with towels, magazines, shoes...you name it, by 8:30 am, and the staff seems to allow it and does nothing about it. Have been to other, more chill places in the past and will probably return there. Don't want to stress about pool chairs when trying to relax on vacation.

Enjoyed the beautiful view from our room with plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out and relax. Nice beach with fun activities. Did the all-inclusive with many food options and great drinks. Enjoyed the theme nights and activities at the pool. Check in/out was easy. The staff was fantastic - super friendly and helpful.
