Beware This Hotel is Aging!

My husband and I have stayed at this resort at least 15 times and have enjoyed going back each time. The property is beautiful but is run down. We were in a room that had serious mildew/mold issues, ( 1406-A ) so much so that we couldn't leave the living room door open that separated our bedroom. We reported it to the staff and nothing was done to accommodate us, either a room change or taking the pieces of furniture out of the room that were clearly molded and mildewed. We also had been burglarized, someone came into our room opened our safe and took $500 cash, we also noticed that despite carefully placing our visas into our passports both visas were removed and relocated in the safe. Also one of our passports was sitting outside of our safe. When we brought this to the security attention they scanned the electronic door lock and printed out a list of activity, they showed it to us and we saw that it appeared that only ourselves had used the electronic key pad. They DID NOT believe that we had been robbed and that someone was in our room! The food has gone downhill too. There was a group of 140 middle school graduates that came to the resort for 4 days and were constantly getting into mischief requiring the security staff to discipline them, the parents that came with the kids were hitting the booze hard and ignoring the children behavior, the pool was disgustingly a pee pool and cloudy the entire time the kids were on the property.

After this experience, we have decided to establish certain restrictions to them in order to preserve the exclusive privileges to each one of our guests. We are deeply sorry that due to these circumstances some of the services and facilities did not meet your expectations.
