Great Resort

Posted 3-Feb-2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: Internet was slow.
Location: City Tour of old and new Puerto Vallarta, a tequila tasting and jungle lunch. Great dinner at Karen's restaurant in Bucerias.
We loved our stay so much that we became a member of the Villa Group.

Kids under 16 not allowed in hot tub.

Posted 1-Feb-2016
This hotel is very nice clean people were all great. The only problem I have is for a young family kids are not allowed in the hot tub, my kids love to warm up in the hot tub after playing in the cold pool. The beach is pretty steep and the water is a little rough and deep right at the edge which our 5 year old couldn't play in the ocean by himself.

Beautiful and clean.

This resort is right in the beach and a 10 min walk to Bucerias. Very clean and well kept resort. Food was good and people were friendly. Hot tub was actually a hot tub.

Beautiful hotel in Nuevo Vallarta

Posted 20-Jan-2016
I loved the cleanliness of the hotel. As you walk in you see that they take great pride in maintaining it super clean. The location of the room had its pluses and minuses; I loved that we were on the 1st floor right next to the pool and did not have to take any elevator but I did not like hearing all of the noise in the morning as they prepared everything in the kitchen since we were also right next to one of the restaurants. I felt very safe both in the hotel and out in all of the towns that we visited. Everyone is very friendly!

Very beautiful ocean front MEXICO resort!

Love the Villa Del Mar Flamingos, we have stayed there for the last 8 years! Great restaurants close by, and they have 2 very nice ones. The waiters are very competent and poliet. They welcome you back each year like you are coming home! Will continue to vacation there each year!

Ok hotel

Posted 18-Jan-2016
As you soon as you come in they are nice and friendly. They get you to feel relaxed with a beer and trust them then they offer you a bunch of free stuff and a tour the next day. They next morning they take you to breakfast free and give you all you need, give you a tour and all along this is just leading up to a sales pitch. They give you a presentation about time shares. They are very pushy and kept forcing me to give them information and if I had a credit card. They time share they offered was $11k and kept saying how that was a bargain. I kept saying I wasn't interested but they pushed and pushed to the point I called Expedia, cancellled checked out and got a refund. This is a vacation that I paid for and did not need to go to Mexico to get harassed. Avoid. Pay a little more and stay in a nicer restaurant. Oh and not to mention I barely slept because all they parties and loud noise by the pool area. The beach was rough and unswimmable. Food average and drinks

Clean, Friendly Staff and Relaxing

Posted 18-Jan-2016
Pros: Very Clean, and quite new; only about 10 years old. Close to shopping and restaurants in Bucerias. Fully equipped kitchen. Meal plan is optional.
Location: Right on the beach. Nice!
No stress here. Courteous and professional staff. Many options for rooms, from studio to 2 BRs. All rooms have some ocean views, some better than others. You can walk the beach in either direction for miles, but best to walk to the small town of Bucerias, just about 20 minutes north to find the market, bars and restaurants. Meal plans are available, but if you choose to save some cash, you can buy food from the MEGA store located about 25 minute walk to the east inland, and cook in your room (rooms have kitchens). Swimming pools and the hot tub were great. Two onsite restaurants, Mexican and Italian. Pool bar and lobby bar too.

Very unfriendly unhelpful staff

Posted 17-Jan-2016
This resort looks beautiful but a very long taxi drive from the center of Puerta vallerta. The beach is beautiful as is the pool but the pool closes at 8 and there are no evening activities after 9. Our check in was a fiasco. They took us to a room that already had people in it. When we finally got in our room the toilet was leaking water. When we called to inform them we were asked if we wanted it fixed?😜Duh the 2nd day at 4:00 we finally had to ask to have new towels and get our garbage emptied. Wait staff and house keepers were very nice and helpful. Office staff and front desk people were very unhelpful and aloof. Stayed at a different resort south of the city and had a much better more authentic lively experience.

Great time!

Posted 17-Jan-2016
Pros: Lot's!
Cons: The quality food could have more quality. There are a lot of timeshare reps feeding off naive
Location: Buceria's, Massages on the beach for twenty bucks an hour!
This was our first time coming to Puerto Vallarta and I must say I am impressed. No hurricane damage at all. This was a stunt by the Mexican government to increase Alcapulo tourism. The Sierra Madre's protected the whole area from the storm. It's first important to note that Villa Del Pal Mar Flamingos is not in town, rather, in Nuevo Vallarta, about 10 miles north of the city. What does this mean? This means that you are going to be heading to a much quieter and much more relaxing setting. If the downtown scene is more your style, then this probably isn't for you. Luckily, we love spending time on relaxing beaches away from the hustle. The hotel is amazing. When we first arrived, we were given a "B" room which is the same as the 2 full or one queen bed. There was no view of the ocean even though they claim it is "partial." I went down to the main desk and asked for a manager who kindly offered me other room options. I explained that this was a special vacation for my girlfriend and I didn't want to disappoint her. After hearing this, the manager upgraded me to a one bedroom sweet that overlooks the entire ocean and sierra madres! I MUST RECOMMEND THAT YOU CHOOSE "A" ROOMS OR ONE BEDROOM SUITES!!!!!!! The views in the smaller rooms are not good!! We made sure to do all inclusive, which I must say was an absolutely must for our hotel lifestyle. We tend to love to order lots of drinks and room services.
