The property was safe and staff were the best. I just wish the furniture was fix around the room. We had to change the room but that did not fix anything. I also remember I Oder a king and single bed but got something else. I tried to say something but the staff said to me that I was rude. I work in this business and I always try to please everyone every single customer. Still thank you for your hospitality

It was absolutely perfect! Great prices! Nothing extravagant, but everything you needed or wanted. Lots of great hidden gems a short walk down the beach too! Perfect beaches, no rocks

The resort is old needs renovation. The pools get closed too early by 7pm. The food was good. Our room View was great . There’s no room service . The shows are awesome!!! There’s is a lot of older people so not a resort for young people adults.

Not fancy but a good resort. There are so many pools at this resort that we never found any of them to be crowded. Likewise, there are three buffet restaurants so seating was never an issue. The drinks were good. I liked that the entertainment staff had an activity on the small stage each night before the main show in the theatre. I have never been at a hotel where I've seen so much cleaning going on around the hotel. We saw a staff member scrubbing the pool lounge chairs, even underneath. The beach was perfect, clear water and beautiful sand. We never went without beach or pool chairs. The beds were comfortable but the room bathrooms need an upgrade.

The complex is little aged, but the stuff work hard to keep it running. It was very hard to make a restaurant reservation in the morning at 8 a.m. It was all gone in a few seconds. The beach was nice for swimming and boarding. The "pirate" who works at boards and kayaks is very hungry for tips, he made a few people pretty angry, my wife refused to talk to him again.

We were in a very terrible room on the first night. First floor in Block 4, it smells like sewage and full of flies. We spoke to Mariana at the reception of block 4, she changed the room immediately and got us a much better room in the third floor. She changed our vacation to a pleasant one, she was great. The property is old and beaten, but the layout is great. Location is beautiful, very nice sandy beach, water is great for swimming. The staff is helpful and always smiling. food is not bad. Overall experience is not bad, it was made much better by Mariana's help.

We've stayed at RD 10 times and have never had an issue with anything. It's not a 5 ☆ but we accept that. First time back after covid so enjoyed once more. Sure it's getting old but they have tried to maintain it as best they can. TV'S & safe's upgraded was a positive. The staff are remarkable...they aim to please .. If have a complaint its the booking for the a la carte's.. they should come up with better plan. Hopefully we get one more trip back to RD!!

Wifi was very unstable and often non existent. It was a struggle to book the restaurants on their online system at 8:00 am every day and by 8:05 am they were already full. The overall complex structures,furnitures & fixtures are in need of upgrades from top to bottom including thread bare, fraying and worn thin bedding and towels. Staff/Service was average with very few staff who seemed happy to be there. The grounds and pools were clean and well maintained.

The food was absolutely terrible. We ended up eating at local restaurants for 3/7 nights because we couldn't take it anymore. We also had a major issue where at 10:00pm one night a group tried to enter our room. It turns out they had just checked in and the front desk had given them to keys to our room by mistake. If I didn't have the chain across the door, they would have just walked right in. We told the front desk and then the next morning we told the guest services manager. She said she would look into it and then we never heard a word from her - no apology or anything. We also went to the front desk after checking in to collect the key to our safe. They were confused and asked us about 3 times if we were sure our safe was not digital - we were sure. They told us that the next day our safe would be switched for a digital one, but it never was, so we just didn't have a safe for the entire trip. We went to this resort twice before Covid and enjoyed our stay but we felt it has now gone very downhill. It seemed to be a different clientele then was there previously which changed our experience quite a bit.

It’s an older room. Bathroom was quite dated. However, we don’t go for the room. The location is wonderful. I thought the lunch options were good for an AI. Would have liked to try an al a carte before a 9:00 reservation but they were booked every day. Location was A plus. Right on the beach. A walking distance to local restaurants, chedraui and the market. Service was A . As always. Every person you meet is so wonderful.

They advertise 4 restaurants. U have to make reservations at 8 am each morning for that night. At 8:04, all 3 seating times is “booked full” according to their staff and online. Yet each night, there would be 6-7 empty tables. Furthermore, on 2-3 of their 4 reservation restaurants are open on any given night. We come to an all inclusive resort to experience fine dining, not buffets. The whole property needs updated badly. The sink in our bathroom was offcenter. The shower curtain was 6” too short, so when u took a shower water went out into the laboratory area. The sad

Staff is very nice and friendly. Good location and nice beach. Room look pretty old with furniture falling apart. Beach chairs are very hard and uncomfortable. Bring an inflatable mattress.

The food buffets and overall dinning wasn't good, hotdogs in everything and paste at every meal. Not much to choose from. Mexican night needs more traditional Mexican food. We were very disappointed in the food. The beach was very nice. We didn't use lounge chairs. They are to hard to get. We just sat on the beach and enjoyed ourselves. Staff was very friendly.

The rooms are in need of upgrades the property itself is beautiful and extremely clean. Staff are very friendly and efficient. The buffets are ok,but get tired of the food quickly. We were not able to reserve an ala carte dinner which was disappointing.

The pros: Staff are super kind, helpful and welcoming The beach is beautiful and the resort was super picturesque Bucerías is nearby and super cute The adult only pool was a great part The guacamole Housekeeping staff were so clean and tidy The cons: The WiFi is absolutely terrible and disconnects constantly, does not reach the whole resort (our room didn’t have any service) The food was horrible, just the strangest array of food imaginable No mini fridge in the hotel room ** also the median age group is either 50 or families with children

Room was basic, 2 star basic. Staff are amazing. Proximity to activities is not ideal. Food, mediocre. If you want to book any tours, see one of the onsite grayline or WestJet vacations people. Definitely paint a ceramic item by the beachfront pool !

The staff are very good. The food is ok but average. The rooms could use an upgrade. The internet is……what Internet actually? Upgrading that would help a great deal Was here 20 years ago and not much has changed but the TV has much more English channels👏

I've taken time to think about my response to this experience. I am not a picky person and have travelled in various locations around Mexico. First off, the staff at Royal Decameron Complex were great! Very friendly and always willing to help. It was clean but definately showing its age. There was barely any hot water for showers and wifi was only available in the main lobby and eating area (nothing available in the room) also the bed and pillows were hard as rock. Again, not a big deal, I expect this from Mexico. What I wasn't expecting was the sub par food that was served. Honestly the worst I've ever eaten in Mexico. If it wasn't for Vallarata Tours (I'll leave an outstandinng review seperate from this) we wouldn't have experienced true Mexican flavor. The lack of fresh fruit and salad options was dire. Eggs in the morning were pre cooked and rubber by the time you went to grab some and the cuts of meat were mostly fat. We did have a good night during Mexico Day where they put on a lovely fiesta, but that was the extent of it. My teenaged son who eats EVERYTHING, was only saved by the snack bar where he was able to find some hamburgers which barely passed the mark. So...if you're planning on eating out, then the resort is fine, but as an all inclusive it was very disappointing. I met a couple who has been going there for over 30 years and they said they had never seen it this bad. Not sure if its due to rising prices of food or the economy but I will not be going back.

Overall we had a wonderful holiday. Night time entertainment was amazing at the theatre. The food could be more varied and more child friendly . Also a fridge in the room would be great .
