The property is in a Mexican neighborhood and Mexicans celebrate New Year till 7 days after our dogs got afraid about the fire crackers and the bark, usually they don’t bark just if they hear something unusual. Please also consider the rate for a penthouse with a big pooftop and private pool for a low rate. We have another property close to the beach in tourist area what you can book via VRBO, but cost more than the double and the pool is shared. Also other owners have dogs they are afraid about the fire crackers and bark and babies crying. In our ad is written that the property is in a Mexican neighborhood. Here my message when you ask for heating the pool to Javier: Please answer her we will put the heater on later when you are home and the charge is 25 US per day… Dear Stacey, I implying nothing, but now I don’t like your tone, it is insulting! When you arrived I put in the guest information folder my phone and e-mail, I also told the heating of the pool is 25 US per day. You told me you think about it. We said nothing when you had your loud pool party with strangers the was not registered or when windows and the sliding door was open and you had the TV on full power. Even our other renter took it easy, also a non smoker. We are easy going and want that our guest have fun, so we don’t care about loud music or TV. Sorry in all the time we rent, we never had someone who tried deny the payment for the pool heating and so demanding like you.Sorry, but I don’t want go on with this blames.Everything is said and laid out. “The guest is the king, as long he behaves like one” Try to be happy and law at loud as you want, like you did on the terrace, we liked this part of you much more. Dear Jay, You talking in your review about a terrace, it is a square 200 qm, 2,154 scurry food sun deck with a very big private pool. Other happy guests described it as an tropical garden and all gave us a 5 star rating. When it comes to the toilet and shower, between them is a sink. At the right is a nice normal size of shower with a door. On the left side is a toilet with a door and inside is a air spray if needed, but other guest just close the door. Also on the VRBO ad is detailed description and photos of the condo and his size. Also listing numbers of our bigger beachfront condos with 2 bathrooms, for sur they cost a bit more, because of the location and and the big size. Before you booked you contacted me, because you didn’t trust my answer to your question, is the internet connection strong enough to hold a video convergence. I explained you that we have have 2 routers just to be sure our guests have always a strong internet connection. You insisted to have a video conference with me as proof. I did it to proof that I’m not a layer. We are renting vacation homes and not offices and for all our past and repeating guests , the option to work as you describe, kitchen table rooftop big dinning table, sofa, lounge area on the sun deck are for all of them sufficient. Even in our more luxury and bigger beach front condo we offer a office!!! Anyway if you needed an extra small computer table you just could talk to my business partner and your host, who lives below you and ask and he would give you one of our roll away computer tables. He saw you doing the cleanings, why you didn’t ask him? Also strange to me if you share the bed with you partner or wife , I would assume you know you well enough to chair a toilet. If you have a problem with that, you should have rented one of our beach front condos with 2 bathrooms and 2 showers. Now I wondering what you do if you have to use a public toilet in a restaurant, there is not even a wall between the cabins and they are open to the floor and roof. Fazit, we don’t rent offices and toiled rooms with a extra big wall wall. I’m staying at the moment in a 5 star boutique hotel and in my room is a small glass cabin 1.20 meter by 1.80 meter with shower, toilet and think, but I pay the double you paid and I don’t have a private sun deck or pool or grill, not even a balcony.You will not find any penthouse with a big private sun deck and pool for the rate you paid in the Romantic Zone. We are not able to please you!

I just want to set for any reader the fact right. You booked another property in a building 10 minutes away on the hillside. A small penthouse with one bedroom and one bathroom and a private pool and sun deck. We offered you an cost free upgrade to a much bigger condo behind the beach with 1 bedroom and two bathrooms, one very big and rooftop lounge, sun deck and infinity pool, also a GYM. The property you booked and reviewed doesn’t have this amenities!!! The normal rate difference is 80 US per night. Thanks also for the recommendation of the knifes, if you would have something said to Javier, he would bring you up new knifes we have in our house. Next time. Yes you are right, with the up hill and stairs, that’s why we wrote in our description, we recommend this property just for healthy guests. Going down is not a problem and going back Uber is just 2 US. Yes it is no Gringoland, it is a Mexican neighborhood, but much better to stay in the close by downtown (Romantic Zone) with the noise from traffic day and nights, the loud life music from all the restaurants and at night the loud bases from the bars and discos. Like we live in the same house, we prefer to hear the natural music from chickens what is mostly when the sun goes up or down. We are happy that you and your friends had a good time on the rooftop and hope the spring will come soon for you. You never ask us if we would adopt you, maybe we would ( if you cook for us) To show our appreciation, we over you for your next stay a 10% off on the posted rate. Dear Simon, Thanks for your feedback. Like you wrote the only complain was about hat the our dogs (Labradors) that they was barking early. We are very sorry about this. It was very unusually specially early in the morning. Like I was not in the house when you was visiting us. I was taking care of my old sick mother in Germany. The only explanation that they was barking is that they heard something unusual. At night they are up on a higher floor where are are our bedrooms are and Javier gets never up before 9 am if we have not an early arrival in one of our condos. The dogs protecting the house, so if someone tried the door at the entrance they bark. We are able to close the door to our patio, so now we will do this when the penthouse is rented. Like Javier is 24/7/365 available you should tell him about it, after this happens the first time. Like we never had any complain about these matter it is new for us and we have a long term renter at the first floor, a lady, but she never said anything to us. We also have guests they bringing their dog with. They always write me: Our small dog is well trained and don’t bark, but when they arrived it is the opposite, specially when they bring an Chihuahua we go crazy. They are so nervous and barking constantly and our dogs don’t act or barking back. So we know how inconvenient it can be, but you had it just 2 times, we have it sometimes for 1-2 weeks day and night. We love dogs ( not Chihuahuas ) that’s why we accept also dogs in our house, but not at our other condos on the beach. But anyway thank you for letting us know, we just can please our guests when they let as know. Sorry for the inconvenience. Like the stairs was a challenge for you means you have not readed the discription for this condo, because there is written we don’t recommend this property to guests there are not in good health shape or handicapped. There is also written that the penthouse is at the 4th floor and no elevator. You alright stating it is a authentic Mexican neighborhood. The downtown is a American tourist geto and is called by the locals “Gringoland”, so people they stay in downtown have to deal with the traffic noise from buses and cars, with many construction noise, it is so rounded by many big constructions, the laud music from the restaurants and all night with the incredible laud music from the discos till 6 am. If a big town tourist stays there, he also can stay home. Also the condos in downtown cost 3 times more from what you paid and they don’t have a private big pool and sun deck witch a shadowy lounge area and sun beds in case they like to get some sun. Sorry, don’t feel offended, but like we live in the same house, we walking max. 10 minutes to the beach and 5 minutes (3 blocks) to the Main Street with all kind of restaurants. We think the kitchen is sufficient equipped, but for sure not if you want invite a lot of people, anyway the restaurants are very affordable and it is cheaper to it out than to go food shopping, you pay more and you have the work of dish washing. You should be happy now, you don’t gain wait and now you a in a good shape, because of the stairs. Maybe you should rent next time one of our beach properties VRBO # 449680, 458078 or our penthouse on the beach 630335, but for sure they cost much more, because of the location and size and they have an elevator. We were fully aware of the stairs when we rented your condo and took it on as a challenge. Our health is good and we are from Colorado where we hike a lot. We purposely choose to stay in Old Town rather than the Marina or the Hotel Zone so that we can experience a more authentic Puerto Vallarta. The big resorts have no personality and could be anywhere! I can tell that I have offended you and that was not my intent. The price charged for your condo is more than reasonable and the patio/pool area make up for any inconvenience . Iwould definitely consider renting from you and Javier again.
