I want to start by saying that the staff was excellent, friendly and hotel is beautiful. What really turned my sister and I off was the lack of cleanliness of the property as a whole. Right away we noticed that no guests were using the common areas or the pool. Upon inspection, we noticed bugs, dirt, dust and dog hair everywhere. They have 2 very friendly dogs on the property, but it is clear that they have no boundaries. Our personal rooms were clean enough, though. Another huge bummer for us was the noise. Yes, is perfectly located in terms of getting around but the hotel and our rooms were right above a bar and a restaurant that loved to play their music horrifically loud. Really, insanely loud. My sister and I both had to buy earplugs and sleeping pills just to finally get some sleep. Over all, I give it 3 stars 🌟 Its great for the price, it has potential and again, the staff was great.

Pro: good location. Cons: noisy night club late into the night, not much of a breakfast, a pool no one wanted to use, seating outside was covered in dog hair, dog paw prints, or bird poop. Bathroom was moldy and damp. Very expensive for what it was.

We stayed 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Close to everything the Romantic Zone has to offer and the beach. No dedicated area on the beach for guests but we reserved some chairs at nearby beachfront restaurants which worked out great. We are not dog owners but pet lovers so we knew what to expect before we arrived. Staff did a good job addressing any deposits or withdrawals the two resident dogs left behind. So expected some dog behaviours at this hotel. Friendly staff and Samantha was a wonderful host at the front desk and was quick to help us as needed. Our first floor room was comfortable and clean and the AC worked great. Would definitely stay again.

The AC didn't work during my entire stay and the people at the lobby kept promising to fix it the next day, alot of mold in the badroom and this hotel should be closed according to the federal mexican consumer entity as is posted in the property

Just visited this property. Denise was an absolute star along with all the staff. They were very friendly and kind. Property overall is good it’s authentic to Puerto Vallarta. The location is fantastic. The only real complaint was the bed was very hard. We had 2 double beds and both were very hard and that was my only issue. I would definitely rebook on my next vacation.

This is a decent family type of small hotel. But it def doesn’t deserve 8/9 out of 10. The facilities were suboptimal in terms of comfort, and it’s in a pretty noisy area. A big pro is its close to everything. Two dogs on site - one is super nice and cute, the other barks at everyone :(

Shower head was missing and the sink had no cover allowing water to come up and we could see down the hole. When we asked to shift room —One of the front desk staff informed us that it was fully booked but I doubt it. The lady who helped check in was professional and sincere

Relaxed PV stay.
We traveled to Puerto Vallarta as a last minute vacation. Wanting to stay in the downtown area, we chose Vila Mercedes Petit because it looked like a quiet boutique property. The property was clean and comfortable. The staff was professional and addressed all our needs. Unfortunately, our 2nd story room was above a rather loud bar whose music often played late into the night. Obviously this is not within the control we of the property but if you do choose to book this hotel be aware that the nightlife is vibrant.

Over all the property is good and you can not beat the location. I would not recommend staying on the main floor, specially if your wall shares with the OXXO convenience store on the corner across from Blondies. For some reason you hear every crash boom bang. Staff and host are friendly. However those dogs are a problem. They are cooped up from 5 pm to the next morning around 9 am every day. They bark with every street noise and every call that comes in after hours. They also need to have baths and should not be lying all over the furniture meant for people.

If you need a place in the romantic zone to set up a home base for exploring, look no further! The AC worked great and so did the WiFi - we were able to stream American football all day and never had an issue! The gate to the hotel stays locked at all times for security, you enter using either a key or a code. I loved that there were rescue dogs on site, one of them is very sweet and the other takes his job as head security officer very seriously, which I greatly appreciated. :) The lady who manages the front desk is very kind and professional. The downside is that the pool is pretty much unusable - there is an old rusty pump that seems to stay mostly off but occasionally circulates the water in a half hearted fashion. This was a deal breaker for my vacation needs, but if you don't care about having a nice pool to relax by and take a dip in then disregard this part. There's a new Cuban restaurant a block or so up Amapas called Que Bola - definitely give them a try! Excellent food and service, reasonable prices, and open air dining with great views.

We had a great time staying at Villa Mercedes. They have the best location you can possibly ask for. Our Suite room was spacious, bright, clean, comfortable and full of charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a unique place. The breakfast was simple but a healthy way to start the day.

The location is good and the staff is friendly too. But the hotel needs a lot of work done and much more cleaning, There is a good size pool to refresh yourself, but be aware tha the nice owner lady keeps her two dogs on the premises, and the smell of the dogs is all over the entertainment area.

My room was really nice. I received a sweet with a dining area, kitchen appliances, couch and TV along with a bedroom area. It was clean. The staff was friendly. I didn't use the swimming pool but that was a nice amenity to have. I only had breakfast once because the other days I left before 9:00 a.m., but it was a good breakfast with fruit and bread. The one complaint that I had is that the owners have a dog that lives on property. Out of my four nights, three of them it woke me up two or three times during the night by barking. The fourth night it was waking me up two or three times an hour barking. I barely slept that fourth night that is the main reason I probably would not stay here again.

My sisters and I stayed at this hotel for a week. Our experience was amazing. As 3 younger women it made us feel extremely safe. You need a code or key to enter the gate into the rooms and they have 2 sweet dogs who are the security and are very good at their job. The hotel was very quiet and the pool was never too busy or crowded. Breakfast consists of toast and fruit and felt very homey. The staff is extremely friendly, each time we got back into our food our room were spotless and felt so good after a long hot day in Puerto Vallarta. A lot of places are walking distance, plenty of food places, bars with happy hour, Malecon etc. We will definitely be back!!

Great Small Hotel in Amazing Location!!
I stayed 3 nights. I have stayed here before. I come to PV almost every month. Great small hotel in my favorite area of PV. Close to the gay beach clubs , bars/clubs and amazing restaurants and cafe. I do not eat much for breakfast so the free breakfast was perfect. Whole wheat toast and fresh fruit. They have cereal and some other items too. The WiFi was amazing!! I did 2 hour zoom meetings with no issues.I have stayed at most of the hotels in the area and the WiFi is not strong enough for zoom. Staff was amazing!! Room was perfectly well equipped and had English Tv channels like CNN etc. also the room had a fridge. Great low price too! Will definitely be back!!!😎🇲🇽🌴
