My stay at Garza Blanca
I did not appreciate the sales pitch to join the time share. Otherwise, the people working at Garza Blanca were very kind, helpful, and thorough whether it was maintaining the grounds, supplying towels to patrons, serving meals and snacks or answering questions, every employee was professional and caring.
The room we stayed in was lovely and the greetings by staff were always friendly.
Breakfasts were very plentiful and healthy and I appreciated how the breakfasts were extended till noon.
The restaurants were also impressive, especially the Steak House but the wine selection choices, by the glass, could be more extensive.
What I didn't like was the fact that I could only go to the Adult pool after six o'clock.
The hike to the falls was a good one but the pipes surrounding the falls made the experience less visually impressive. With all the hotel's attention to detail, it would be nicer if the area at the falls was more natural and the wires or pipes were relocated elsewhere. I realize it's public property but you bring guests there so you might want to clean that area up.
I really loved the kayak trip to the rocks but the yoga program was less than sufficient, even for a beginner. It was not memorable. Patrons are not taking this class to chant for over four minutes, they are there to do a yoga class that includes stretching, doing poses, instead of being subjected to repetitive recorded chanting music.
We had an opportunity to relax, feel, pampered and we achieved that.
