Check status of Remodel before you stay
The hotel looked lovely and comfortable from the photos on the site. We arrived and the hotel was undergoing renovations. Deck outside our room did not have lounge chairs as depicted, no table outside, so sitting there was uncomfortable. High level of noise in our room from neighbors below as noise carried directly up the stairwell. Some rooms were in the process of being renovated, and work starts early. From room renovations, to restaurant palapa being destroyed, to pool being retiled, there was never a quiet morning for sleeping in on vacation and amenities like the restaurant, outside bar, and pool were unavailable for use. I wish we would have known this before booking a two week stay.
Prior to being drained, the pool water was cloudy. We were a bit put-off by that early on.
Room does not have fridge or coffee maker. We were able to improvise, but these amenities for hotels in PV are typical at other hotels. There were no drawers you could get to to put your clothes away. Cabinets, bench, and TV stand looked like they could have had shelves, but had been painted shut. Room safe was not free, but came with additional daily charge.
Room service was called, but never answered. One of our friends lost their wallet downtown and the front desk personnel did nothing to help her. No phone or internet assistance offered at all to help resolve her problem.
Furnishings in the room were poor.

Thank you Laurie for your honest review. Sooner or later maintenance has to be done and unfortunately you were there when it happened. We are finished with the pool, the palapa is almost finished and everything will be ready in the first week of april. Hopefully you will give us an opportunity to serve you again with our remodeled property.
