Good: Front desk staff was very friendly. Affordable room. The views from the lobby are excellent. Easy access to the beach. Pool and spa are a must. Heads Up: Our room was the worst room on the property. It required us to walk up several steep stairs. I counted a total of 230 steps. Some stair cases had no railing,; very dangerous. The hotel staff other than the front desk staff were not friendly and not helpful. Visibly, it looked like they were miserable. There was no TV in the room. It looked as though once upon a time there was one mounted but it fell. The walls were cracked including the ceiling. Any spa services have to be paid for in cash and there is no ATM nearby. The house restaurant Si Señor is a joke. Extremely pricey food. Views , however are incredible. The prices changed daily depending upon who ordered. I honestly felt taken advantage of. Overall, I will not stay here again unless I'm staying in one of the large villas that don't require tons of stairs.

I like the view friendly people. I don’t like the unsafe room design. Before my reservation I checked reviews about this specific villa, steps, noise, and mosquitoes. Yes, We got bitten by mosquitoes. Yes, it is hard to be climbing 80 steps to get into your room. Yes it’s really noisy, and at some points it does get annoying. There is not enough space or privacy for a couple. Privacy from outside isn’t very good even for toilet use. The space inside is really small and the appliances in the room are literally in the restroom. My biggest concern was safety. This room design felt really unsafe because we had to leave the property into a roadside to get into the villa and a wood gate door was the only thing between the bed and cars parking outside the room we can see the cars lighting when arriving or leaving smashing door all night . Sometimes people were driving very erratically after partying. Be aware of scorpions. Really disappointed. Thank You ML

Villa Amor was absolutely gorgeous! Really made you feel like you were in your own paradise in the jungle. Very accessible to both Sayulita main beach and the beautiful Playa de Los Muertos. Short walk to Centro where all the shops/restaurants/bars are. Lots of amenities including a beautiful pool, complimentary yoga (although I didn’t wake up early enough to take advantage), gym, and most importantly for us complimentary surf and paddle board rentals. Very responsive and helpful staff, especially Cecilia the concierge who kindly greeted us with a smiling face each morning. The only thing to note is there are no elevators and some rooms require climbing LOTS of steps. My partner and I certainly didn’t mind as it was my workout for the day but could be a shock for some. Thank you for having us and we would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the Villa de Amor room. Absolutely beautiful views and unique stay. You feel like you are sleeping in a treehouse. Only downside is in order to get to your room there are several steep flights of stairs to climb. Although it’s a workout, it’s worth the stay.

Was expecting since we were up the hill from the town that it would be quiet. But, there was a party on the beach and we heard techno music and felt the bass well into the early morning hours. I realize this isn't under the control of the hotel, but it impacted the comfort level.

Super noisy
Location was great, but I was extreme noisy facing east. There was not a night there wasn’t loud base music playing until 3am. Be prepared for a lot of stairs.
